Summary: Mason Propaganda
Review: Did you know that the answer to life the universe and everything is "42". The masons do, and Mr. Adams being a mason is in tune this these secretive answers to the meaning of life. Buy this book and try to figure out exactly what type of thought control the masons are involved with.

Summary: Douglas Adams is the best author I've ever read!
Review: I have read this series a number of times, and each time it gets better. I find new things and learn something new every time. Not only is THGTTG hilarious, but it is also a philosophical look at, well, Life, the Universe, and Everything. I find myself more and more impressed by Douglas Adams and his approach to life. This is not just a cute little adventure story . . . but a serious journey as seen through the eyes of a humorist. I would recommend this book to anyone, since it appeals to so many: the sci-fi lovers, the philosophy junkies, the casual reader, the humor lover . . .Enjoy all!

Summary: It is easily the best
Review: I don't get how you could read this book and not think it one of the best you've ever read. The entire thing ( and I mean all of the stories) are both hilarious and thought provoking. It's the best mix of comedy and philosophy and absurdity that I have ever read in my life. Check it out. I promise once you get it you won't be able to put it down.

Summary: Boldly Expand Your Mind Where It has Never Gone.....
Review: Without hyperbole, this is simply the most fun I have ever experienced reading. Douglas Adams took me on a journey of redefining how I view our world, our universe, and our place within the totality of it all. In taking me on this wondrous trip, he caused me to laugh out loud at the absurdity of human comprehension, and our way of placing ourselves as the definitive pinnacle of evolution. I mean, the part where the mice are revealed as the masterminds of human evolution ("By simply turning one way or another in a maze, we changed your theories of behaviour) was not only hilarious, but shocking when you consider that it is not that far off from the truth. Or the dolphins trying to warn us of the impending doom to the Earth, and the humans shrugging off their antics as "tricks", when in reality they are far more intelligent than humanity. Here is a prime example of us assuming we are the most evolved species, and Adams uses this bit to poke some fun at our egotism and at our assumptions. Adams' displays an amazing wit and extraordinary perception in his writing, and blends social commentary with laugh out loud silliness. This is a rare gift, and he does it seemingly without effort. I cannot recommend this book highly enough, and I thank Douglas Adams for the pleasure he provided in reading it. If only more books were like this one, I believe I would never stop reading! This book changed the way I view life and my place in it, in a positive way, and this is the highest compliment I can give to the author. WELL DONE, Mr. ADAMS!

Summary: Great style
Review: 815 pages, 5 complete novels, every bit of it absolutely hilarious. EXAMPLES: The knack to flying is to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

The population of the whole universe is zero, and any people you may have met from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

The force of gravity has given Arthur a sabbatical, but he mustn't think about it, lest the force of gravity look sharply in his direction and demand to know what the hell he was doing up there.

If you stick a Babel fish in your ear you can instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language. There's no way anything that useful could have evolved by chance, so it proves that God doesn't exist by proving that he exists. Proof denies faith, and without faith, God is nothing.

When human beings' lips stop moving, their brains start working.

I love Adams' style. It makes fun of the human race by telling stories about how wonderful the rest of the galaxy is, and the details are really funny. He says a lot of really obvious stuff in ways that make you laugh nevertheless, and in ways that a 16-year-old can understand.
