Summary: The Greatest Fantasy of All Time!!!
Review: For those who say that this was boring just shows me how incompetent and pathetic your attentions spans are. The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings are the best Fantasy books that have ever been written. In todays time many books have plagurized them. Trying to be as good or better but using the same stories. I commend Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind for not being like all the others. They have their own style and both of their series are excellent.The Vizier of Zarak

Summary: What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said?
Review: Well, what is there to say except that these are the best books in the whole world except the Bible, and these are a close second. Every time I read them I grow in my understanding of people and the complexities of the human mind. Tolkien draws such an excellent picture of humanity that is easy for me to understand that it's often hard to remember that I haven't talked to him personally. The pages live! The light and darkness dance together like the death dance of a crain, each seeking to destroy the other. And yet, the books aren't apperently theological enough to detour a passive reader. I would recomend these books to any and everyone under the sun, whether they like "fantasy" or not.

Review: The Hoobit I think is great for kids around 10 years old (witch I am) to adults its full of myth, adventure,battles and mystery I would recomend this book to anyone who likes mithical creatures and adventure.

Review: These are the best science-fiction books I've ever read.I thought I lived in Middle-Earth with Gandalf,Aragorn and the others as I read it. Because I didn't know English I read the Turkish ones.Now I know Enlish and I entered this site to buy Engish ones.I'm sure that I'll enjoy these wonderful books far much in their own language.I recommend all people to read them.

Review: Wonderful! This book is truly one of the best books ever written. I'm thirteen and already on my second time areound because of the greatness of this book! Whoever hasnt read is missing a lot. Same with the Hobbit and Silmarillion!

Review: El señor de los anillos es el origen de un mundo en el que la magia y la espada comparten el curso de la historia (copiado posteriormente por otros autores, creando lugares con nuevas razas y haciendo cada vez más larga la sombra del profesor Toolkien). Las razas poseen su propia intrahistoria: sus propias guerras, sus propios héroes con extensas genealogías, sus propios lenguajes y grafías, sus propias canciones y leyendas,... Todas ellas creadas por la incombustible fantasía de un genial literato que hace del relato su mejor arma. El estilo quizá sea más pobre comparado con otros autores, mas sus carencias son suplidas con el dominio del relato en el que es maestro. La ve locidad de la acción, en un libro (no tanto trilo gía) tan extenso como éste, es llevada con gran dominio. El señor de los anillos es la vida y obra de un escritor (tardó doce años en terminarla) que abrió las puertas a un universo medieval evolucio nado, con unas razas por las que se llega sentir admiración y unos personajes que hacen soñar a los lectores. La biblia de J.R.R. Toolkien es para todo tipo de lectores: adultos, más adultos, menos adultos y niños que sean capaces de pasar del primer capítu lo. Una obra que puede cambiar la vida de un temprano lector y llevarle a un universo por el que se sentirá atraído y del que jamás terminará por separarse. El universo de Toolkien, su mundo, mi mundo, nuestro mundo, el mundo. ¡GRACIAS JOHN!

Review: this series really is the greatest series ever composed. its short, sweet, and mesmorizing. tolkien was and always will be the foremost fantasy writer of all time. in just 4 books, he was able to tell a rich and compelling tale, full with action, emotion, and intrigue.
