Summary: A truly amazing book
Review: I remember getting this book when I was a little boy, about 7 or 8 years ago. I didn't read it much then, probably because I spent most of my time watching the two Neverending Story movies. Now, I am 16 and I recently completed the book. There isn't a single page in the book that doesn't grip you or affect you. This is one of the few books I have ever read, cover-to-cover, for entertainment. I was almost sad when the book was over. That's how fantastic it was. It reminded me of how powerful my imagination was when I was little. If you love fantasy and adventure, you should read it. You'll be glad you did, I guarantee it. I highly recommend it for people of all ages.

Summary: Everyone who dares to dream should read this book!
Review: This book will absolutely take you to Fantastica. If you don't begin to see the worl we live in as a different place, you didn't read very hard. Not just young kids should read it. I think adults should read it more than kids. The greatest challenge in this life is to see it for more than meets the eye. This book will help you and anyone else who reads it to dream, hope, and explore.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I first fell in love with the Neverending Story as kid when I saw the movie. So, when I heard it was based on a book I had to but it. The movie doesn't do the book justice! The book has a way of grasping your imagination in ways a movie never could. This is definately a book for all ages and a must buy for anyone who has an imagination.

Summary: Grab a Luckdragon and read this book!
Review: I have never read, nor even heard of a book like The Neverending Story. Not only does it have a great plot, that is both easy easy enough for kids and complicated enough for adults, it is also the only book I've read where you, the reader, are a part of the story. You have to read it to understand! This is not a simple children's fairy tale, it is a book for everyone to cherish together. You'll love it, I gurantee it! The only bad thing about it is that, unlike the title, it has an ending...

Summary: Aah, a book you don't want to miss!
Review: It's different from other books! The chapters are from A-Z! You've seen the movie, right? If you have, it's like that, but with much more! And better! For those who haven't, it's about a boy who stole a book from a store, ran to the school attic, and locked himself in. Then started to read. The Story in the story we're reading, is about the mission Atreyu must take- to find an earthling child, to give the empress a new name, because the nothing is taking over Fantastica! Pretty complicated, huh? Well, The boy (Bastian Balthazar Bux) gives her a name (not telling!). He gets a grain of sand and endless wishes! (here's something I don't know if I should tell...) The problem is, Bastian has to wish to 'regain' Fantastica, but with each wish, he loses a memory, and he needs a memory to get back home! Oh the horror of it all!!! I read this at camp, I took it everywhere, I couldn't stop reading, I really wanted to know what happened! You will too ;oP

Summary: remember your childlike innosence
Review: The book that thaught me more about my youth then any psychiatrist could ever have taught me. It's perfect, the characters, the story the setting, everything breathes life. The book, I first read it when I was younger, captured my imagination, and evolved it. Whenever I read this book, I have made it a tradition to read it each year at least once, I feel young again, it makes me long back to the days of my youth.

This book is perfect for children, although not too small, and people who want to feel a fraction of what childhood should have been.

Summary: It's Fantasica
Review: Through many years of exciting adventures, i must say that The Never Ending Story was the very first book that related with me, because of my hunger for adventure and fantasy. I found myself reading each chapter intently and wanting more of the book, every time I finished a page. Bastian, being a small fat kid whose life was just another joke, came across an old book in which captivated him when he read the title. Continuing through the book, in the attic of his school, he found out that he was not just reading an ordinary book; he was apart of a Never Ending Story. In breath taking adventures he had traveled with a warrior named Atreyu, as he read, Searching a cure for the Child-like-Empress' illness. As creatures, storms and a "Nothing" attacked Atreyu, and his reader (Bastian), they embarked upon wild excitement that could never be forgotten... accept when Bastian is pulled into the Story and gradually losing his memory. With a twist to the Plot you will be amazed of what will happen before Bastian barely slips back on earth. It is one of the most intriguing books that i have ever read. Who ever is considering the book... Please GET IT!!! A Picky Reader! jg

Summary: A wonderful world of imagination...
Review: Michael Ende's "Neverending Story" is a childhoodclassic in Germany and is truly a great novel. After reading the HarryPotter novels and JK Rowling's imaginative world full of great ideas, I had to think of the worlds Ende creates in his novels, of his ability to bring together pieces of different mythologies and fairy tales and to create a witty book full of references, word play and ideas. This book should not have been made into a movie for it is an argument in favour of the world of reading and "the movies" that are created in your mind. It is very sad that Ende died some years ago and therefore will not be able to bring us more novels like this and I am very surprised that most of his other books are still not available in English.

Summary: A Classic
Review: This is the story of Fantastica, and the salvation of all thecreatures of human imagination. Bastian is a pudgy boy of 10 or 11that finds The Neverending Story in an old bookstore, and steals it. He sits in the attic of his school, and reads the whole story in one sitting. Fantastica is in trouble. The nothing is devouring the lands and people of Fantastica, and the Child-like Empress is dying. An boy named Atreyu is called upon to save them all. He is given Auryn and told to find the answer to the problem. Bastin then enters Fantastica by some magical means and saves them by giving the Child-like Empress a new name. He is given possesion of Auryn, and begins to lose his memory...

This was an excellent book. I sadly saw the movie first, then read the book. The movie fails to do the book justice. With all the recent developments in animation and such, a remake would be spectacular.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: This book is very well written. It's about a boy who steals a book and hides out in the attic of his school to read it. Little does he know the book will take him farther than he's ever gone before, and he will have to make it back to his world without losing his memory. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes alot of action and fantasy. The only thing some of you might not like about this book is that it's very long. I'm not complaining or anything, but I know some people don't like long books. (I'm just warning you) Despite it's length, it's a very good book!
