Summary: Definately a worthy buy if you are a fan of the movies
Review: When I was but about 8-9, I got first glimpses of "The NeverEnding Story" on cable we probably had but a year. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat, liking it enough to get the next one. After 3 years after I saw TNS2, I was at the library, looking for a new book to read, and behold, the book was this one. After having read it, I truly know how imagination made the story popular enough for movies. Way to go Michael!

Review: "The Never Ending Story" is full of so much. From the beginning, the author serves to capture your imagination. I myself was entranced from the first page, and knew that this book was perfect for me just a few more pages in, when I read the author discuss Bastian's love for reading, a love which mirrored my own. This book serves to combine both parts 1 and 2 of "The Neverending" movies, but is so much better. While I will always hold Part 1 as a part of my childhood, it could never compare to this wonderful book. Bastain is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. His insecurites remind me of my own as a child. The adventures of Atreyu and Bastian are adventures I myself wished I could take when I was younger, and still do sometimes today. This book allowed me to take those adventures, and for that, it is one of the best book I can say I have ever read.

Review: I first read this book two years ago and have re-read it three times since then. As I said it's the best book I have ever read. If you you have never read this book I would sit down write now and order it, because it's almost a gaurentee you'll love it.

Summary: Excellent reading
Review: I first read this book when i was 10. I am now 15, and trying to fill my shelves with substantial, adult books that i can read many times. Half-asleep last night, however, i realized that i did not own this book. Tolstoy be damned, i need a copy.Back to me at 10. I read this book on an irritatingly rainy beach vacation, mostly in a walk-in closet (i liked closets as a kid). It is full of riveting, entertaining, complex images and ideas by which i was neither willing nor able to be unimpressed. It has the epic quality necessary for any children's adventure book, with a surprisingly adult sense of image and limitlessness. It is a world unto itself, a world of infinite echoes. This is one of those books which no childhood should go without.

Summary: Simply the Best in Fantasy and the Grasping of Imagination
Review: If you could sum it up in a word: WOW! This is the first book I have fallen in love with and the one I recommend to all. If your attention span is the size of a walnut, this book will still pull you in. It is amazing. And if you watched the movies, you much get the book. The movies cannnot match it!

Summary: Never Ending Story is the raddest book I've ever read
Review: I don't read much, because i have a very short attention span, and i often lose interest midway, but the Never Ending Story is a book you can't put down. I kindof feel disadvantaged because i saw the movie first. If you haven't read the Never Ending Story and you have a choice read the book before you see the movie, because even though the movie is a classic, you should have a chance to use your imagination first. This book is rad, if it were a person I would marry it !!!!

Summary: The best fantasy book I've ever read!
Review: I remember watching the movie when I was really little and I loved it. When I was 12 and the sequel came out, I became intrigued and decided that I wanted to read the book. When I was finally able to obtain a copy, I fell in love with it immediately. I am 19 now and an English major in college. This book is one that I have never forgotten and it has inspired me to become a writer. Without a doubt this is, and always will be, the best fantasy book that I've ever read. The story is wonderful and thought-provoking for its views of the importance of imagination, bravery, honesty, ect. Also, the descriptions in it are so realistic that I could actually see the characters in my head as I read it. This book is not just a children's book; rather, it is a book that adults can love and learn from as well. I firmly believe that anyone who wants to write fantasy should read this book. It is a wonderful, and beautiful example of the genre.

Summary: A charming book for all ages.
Review: I read this book in its original, hard-cover release over fifteen years ago, when I was in my twenties. I loved it and gave copies of it to each of my friends to read. It then went out of print, and was replaced by the paperback version and the movie. Neither of these substitutes can compare to the magic of watching the pages change from green to red and then back again. Read this book, whatever your age, but only in the hardcover edition!

Summary: Wonderfully symbolic and creative
Review: This is a phenomenal book that I highly recommend, although be prepared since the second half of the book is nothing like the movie sequel! Wonderfully creative, well-written, occasionally contains bits of profound wisdom still applicable today (particularly the second section) and containing symbolism that you can read as much into as you wish, this book is something everyone should read at least once since how you react to the different characters gives you insight into yourself!
