Summary: The best book I've ever read.
Review: A great mixture of history and fantasy, with a taste of the old tales of King Arthur. (Actually worth 10 stars!)

Summary: most intriguing book i ever read.
Review: I am reading this book for the second time and i am still learning new stuff about the King Arther's time. My favorite character is Morgaine or Viviane. in an English class earlier, me and one of my classmates got into a large debate about how Arthur came to his throne and his relatives and i won. it would never have happened unless i had the help of this wonderful novel. Both my sister and mother have read the book. In fact, they were the ones to convince me to read it. once i started, i never stopped and i am writing a book report over this enchanting novel. I am planning to read more books about King Arthur's time and become lost in their time.

Summary: Awesome book!
Review: You can become so attached to the characters in this book! Definitely a twist to the saga of King Authur's reign. I loved how the author based the story on a woman's point-of-view.

Summary: this is a really good book
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. The author knows a lot about aurthian legends and shows it in this series. I think that everyone should read it.

Morgaine is a great character and so is vivaine. The story makes you feel like you are actually there living it with them.

Summary: The life of the women behind the throne of Arthur.
Review: I have never read a book that made me love the characters with all my heart.I never read a book that made me feel so irresistably sad. Mists of Avalon was written so wisely in my mind. Someone that makes you fall so deep into a book, that if someone you had your heart set on died and the words used, make you cry until you have to stop because you can not read the blury words, is a very talented writer. I thank Marion Zimmer Bradely for writing this book that has made me see the beauty of a legendary Tale. I have recommended this book to everyone I know I recommend it to you too. Long Live the wonderful magical era of the Arthuranian Legend! The Mists of Avalon is a tale of living on a land that has to be kept peaceful if not, then forever will the land drift further into a world of sorrow and unholy things. Morgan la Faye(known as Morgaine) lives a life that makes her do things without choice. She is torn apart by the life she pledges to do but all her life has meaning with or without understanding, fear and pain. Gwenhfar is dedicated to being a good wife and queen but also has no choice but to let herself win what she desires, pious or not.

Summary: Beautiful and Imaginative
Review: When I first got this book, I thought I would never read it because of its dozens of pages. However, I read it, in less than three weeks, and have read it almost two times during Christmas vacation. What I like most in this book is that there are no "evil characters". Every person has his/her good side. Later, when I finished this book, I tried to find books related about some of the characters by other authors. Yet, I was disappointed. This is the first time I ever read of the Arthurian Legends, and I have heard little of it before. I was shocked that Morgaine was thought of as an evil sorceress by many, many other storytellers. I wish there would be more books that are written in this version, because this (I think) will always be my favorite. Great book. You must read it, it shows great details about Celtic religion, and about the Goddess. Try it; you will be thrilled by this version of Arthurian Legend. I have read it and could not stop (I am not a very quick reader, and completed this book in that short amount of time!). Marion Zimmer Bradley has done an excellent job in retelling it in Morgaine's and partially Gwenhwyfar's point-of-view. Excellent. I don't think a book has captured me as long and as deeply as "The Mists of Avalon". I care very much for the characters, which are very multi-dimensional and capturing.

Summary: Congratulations !! The most interesting book i've read.
Review: I can't praise this book enough. I read it several years ago and i keep on re-reading it from time to time..I am Arthurian Legend buff and this book is the best adaptation i have ever come up with. The characters of this book are displayed with such perfection that you would think Mrs Bradley knew them personally..

Summary: An intriguing, colourful retelling of the Arthurian saga
Review: This book is one of the best retellings of the story of King Arthur that I have read. Morgan le Fay (Morgaine) is portrayed not as a scheming sorceress but simply as a woman trying to do what she thought was right. The book explores religion a lot: the Goddess mother vs. the new Christian God. Arthur's wife, Gwynhwyfar, is a fanatical Christian, caught in a struggle of emotions between Christianity and her love for Lancelet. It is also quite a sad story as the kingdom built up falls to pieces through conflicts and a struggle for power.

Summary: A Celtic Journey
Review: This is a story of Morgan Le Fay and her aunt Vivane and thier journeys through life. This book is a wiccan treasure telling a lifelike story about my favorite goddess, and fay, turning away from the negative perspective she has inspired in many hateful stories. I have read this book 3 times since I first read it at 13, and I have found my goddess, and namesake.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book ever!
Review: I'm only a 15 year-old girl but I was amazed by this book! The story is fascinating and the characters are almost real. You are taken to a world of magic and mistery that is just wonderful. My mother and my sister also read it and soemtimes we can talk about it forever! I really recommend it! And my congtatulations to the author, Marion Zimmer.
