Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A surprisingly deep and beautiful book for all ages Review: It's very seldom that a book both takes hold of your heart *and* guides you through metaphors to notice something about reality that had previously escaped you. 'Momo' is such a book. Set in a fantasy world that parallels what we would consider ideal, 'Momo' is the story of a special girl observeing and trying to cope with/battle against the slow and unnoticed appearance of an army of grey men -- intent on stealing the free time from all the people in her world. The effects of this time theft is clever and in a way haunting; the world begins to become modernized, looking more and more like our own. To give away any more then that would be to give away the plot; trust me, it's a wonderfull, wonderfull read for adults and kids alike. I rank it up there with C.S. Lewis's "The Chronicals of Narnia".

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Momo is a masterpiece! Review: Momo is a book hard to describe. The talent of its writer is unbelievable. Telling a short version of it can never tell you what it is about. Look at it as a simpler, deeper, funnier, more meaningful, and less yucky version of George Orwel's 1984, with a twist to make it very very child friendly, but at the same time perfect for an adult. If you have to read 5 books in your life, this should be one of them.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: excellent Review: Momo is a book of extraordinary depth; Michael Ende has a lot to say about us human beings and the way we spend our time, and everyone should read it. For those of you complaining it isn't available in English: it certainly is! apparently not in the USA though. Try a british website.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Momo is brilliant. Review: Momo is a children's story that not enough adults have read. Like all of Ende's books, it employs a bizarre passage of time to hold a mirror to the human soul - and changes how you see that soul.

I especially like the imagination Ende had for this book. I have been trying to find the English edition for it, because I have lost my German one for it. Michael Ende did an excellent job for this book. The book is a great example of fantasy.
