Summary: Words for Everyone
Review: An intricate story with a hidden satire on the birth of the fast-paced, all business society, told threw the eyes of orphan Momo, who loves her friends as her only family, she follows a turtle past the reaches of time to figure out why her friends do not come to talk to her anymore. This book is about time--stolen and hidden from people in constant motion, the dreams they had, and the gigantic love of one little girl. Micheal Ende magically weaved a subtle wit, humor, bravery, friendship, love and loss all together and created a story that I could not put down until I read it all the way through. Any generation can learn from this book--all you need is to take a bit of time!

Summary: SOMOS HOMBRES GRISES
Review: ES UN LIBRO MUY BUENO, TAMBIEN PARA LA GENTE GRANDE.

Summary: Superb!!! Michael Ende has done it again!!!!!!!!
Review: Great!! I am in sixth grade at Velma Hamilton Middle School and I read this book last year at Randall Elementry. Since then, it has been my absolute all time favorite book. I discovered 'The Neverending Story' with the help of April, an understanding librarian, and it was so fantastic I came back for more. I had gone through every fantasy and/or fiction book there and had been in need of a new one. Michael Ende's books are the kind you can read over and over and over again without getting tired of it because every time it still feels brand new. I loved how mysterious the Men In Gray were and the details and descriptions were perfectly marvelous!! I am actually in the process of searching for another copy because the library at my new school doesn't have it, but I made her promise to order them and Miss Weiss doesn't go back on her word!!!!

Summary: Momo : Please read this book to our children
Review: Have you ever think of finding a book that capture you from the first page until the end. Beautiful story like fairy tale with supurb narrative style that you want to re-read it many times. Moreover, the book that contains a wonderful idea about life. If yes, try to read this book. Story of a little girl and her friends seemed to be a simple plot. But it isn't like that when it is in Michale Ende's hands. It's about people, friendship and time. Please read this book to your children and you will enjoy this beautiful story as well. If you still don't believe me, Let go through other's people comment for this book. The best way is to find out by yourself. In Thailand, this book is reprinted so many times and I am so glad that I can own this precious book. Another "Gem" from Michale Ende is "The Never Ending Story" both are equally supurb.. I guarantee.

Summary: Inspiring
Review: How can this book be out of print? It should be a bestseller!

Momo is a deeply philosphical fairy tale that is more in the league of The Wizard of Oz or Beauty and the Beast than the likes of Harry Potter. The story illustrates how many of us rush through our modernized, fast-paced lives without stopping to actually enjoy the beauty of the present moment. With all the hassle not only is time stolen, but also the essence of life: the heart.

This book is truly a masterpiece and one of my all time favorite books. I just wish there were a better English translation. I've read both the German and English versions, and the translation simply doesn't do it justice. Still, read this book whichever way you can!

Summary: WHERE TO OBTAIN THIS BOOK
Review: I cannot agree more with all the other reviews written about MOMO - it is certainly one of my favourite books. One that changed my life forever when I found a role model in the character Momo. Though too perfect to be "human", there are so many precious things about this girl that we, esp adults, can all learn from. Her willingness / readiness to listen (and not out of obligation or to make any judgement) is penetrating, the way she treats her friends is liberating and her immense courage to step out of her comfort position to rescue a group of friends who had rejected / neglected her will always be a source of inspiration to me.

MOMO is a real fairy tale (and I would recommend you to read the lsat few chapters in the quiet of the night - it adds to the tension...). Before I forget, I wrote because many readers in the States cannot get hold of a copy of this book. MOMO is readily available in Puffin paperback (I think) at a reasonable price in Singapore. It is certainly NOT out of print. I also own a Chinese version of Michael Ende's wonderful book. ...

Summary: A modern fairy tale
Review: I enjoyed this book very much!
It is a perfect beautiful fairy tale to give to a kid.
But it's probably an even better fairy tale for adults!!
It's a book about your time, how precious it is and how it is stolen from you. Kids still own their time, and know how to treasure it - for them the message is obvious. Adults will have to think about it longer. Maybe at the end you'll decide your time much too precious to give it away for $$$. Maybe in the end this book will change your life.
Just as a previous reviewer wrote: "Great for anyone, any time, any place. HOW CAN IT BE OUT OF PRINT????"
I really wonder how it can be out of print in the U.S., that's a shame. But you can get an English version from www.amazon.co.uk. Or you buy it used, or get the Spanish or Korean version or the German original.

Summary: Exquisite Masterpiece
Review: I have a Master's Degree in Literature. Momo is still my favorite book ever written. The clarity of Ende's storytelling, the wise innocence of his characters, and the deft skill he uses in creating the world of Momo is phenomenal. It is such a shame that this book is not available in English. To read Momo is to have a life- affirming, unforgettable experience. May you become aware of the beauty of your own lilies.
