Rating: Summary: One of if not the BEST! Review: This book made you try and predict what was going to happen next. It was one of the best Star Wars books I have ever read. I love the Young Jedi Knight series.
Rating: Summary: One of the less interesting books of the series Review: This book shows better what a person's nature is really like. I liked how Tenel Ka finds out that it isn't all what you have, it's what you do with it and how much you make an effort at. But the pace of the book and the author's vague effort at romance was not as good as it could have been.
Rating: Summary: Must Read! Review: This is a great book for all Star Wars lovers! Wonderful for the child and the child at heart. This book takes you back to a galaxy far, far away where a new generation of Jedi Knights are learning the ways of the Force, and four young Jedi start a crucial stage of their training... building their lightsabers.
Rating: Summary: Ten, a Star Wars lover Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. Its wonderfully written and really goes in depth into Tenel Ka's history and feelings. I only wish this series would continue so we could see what happens between Tenel Ka and Jacen/Zekk Jaina since there is no mention of them in the New Jedi Order books.Ireccomend this book to any person of any age who likes Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: Read this review Review: This is one of the few YJK books i did NOT enjoy for several reasons. I mean, I liked the part about them making their own lightsabers but it just jumps too much into things and doesnt give enough information.....I mean its just one thing after another and no time to really focus in on one thing. But this was still a good book, and if you want my advice, continue reading...
Rating: Summary: One of the best in the YJK series! Review: This is probably my favorite book in the young jedi knights series. Luke Skywalker decides that it is time for the Young Jedi Knights to build their lightsabers. he tells them not to rush, but after Tenal Ka finds out Lowbacca is almost done with his, she hurries to build hers. At a traning practice with Jacen, her faulty lightsaber beam 'disinagrates' and Jacen's cuts her arm off above the elbow. an explosion a moments later destroys her lightsaber and arm. Not wanting pity from the others Tenal Ka returns to the Hapes Cluster. her friends follow and soon learn about some assassination attempts on her grandmother. the Young Jedi Knights need to figure out who this assassin is, because soon their own lives are in danger. If your a Star Wars fan, GET THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: Good, but predictable in some parts Review: This was a good book, I admit. But what's up with Tenel Ka losing her arm? Is this supposed to have an all-oppurtunist theme? Next, Jacen's gonna be in a wheel chair, and Jaina will have Lando's skin color or something. And the duel between Jacen and Tenel Ka is abit too predictable. Not only does it make the characters look excessively proud; fencing with their left hands, bu I'm suprised Tenel Ka isn't wearing a black mask and Jacen isn't a Spaniard, saying, "I know something you dont" Tenel Ka:"What's that?" Jacen:"I'm not left handed" Then he switches hand and later Tenel would say, "I have something to tell you...I'm not left-handed either." Then switches hands and countinued dueling. And then there's Jaina. She looks like a ripped-off younger version of her father. The fact she hangs out with a big hairy dude and fixes stuff tells it all. Lowie's the only cool one. WOOKIEES RULE! Tenel Ka seems abit arrogant and snobby for my liking. Besides, talk about stupid! She smashes her tiara that costs a bajillion credits , just because she's soooooo proud of her culture. Just buy some crystals and get over it! Jacen's the worst of all. His famed line, "Blaster Bolts!" is just pathetic. He sounds like a superhero sidekick in a 50's cartoon. Not only are new lines getting to me, but lame uses for once-unlame lines such as Jaina saying, "They'd be crazy to follow us, wouldn't they?" A line her father said when Leia dissaproved of going into an Astroid field, except this time it's a SEAWEED field. Oh how grand. Now that I'm done complaining, I'd like to say it was a cool book, and nonetheless action packed. I like the part when they're making their lightsabers and when Zekk battles Vilas. It's a great book, the title made me want to read it it the first place, and I want to read the rest of the series. I recommend that you to get it and you won't regret you spent money on it.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good... Review: This was a good book. Not as good as some of the others, but still pretty good.My favorite parts are when they battle the Bartokk assassins, and when Tenel Ka finds out she can swim, even with just one arm. I think it's cool the way she can still beat Jacen at a swimming contest!
Rating: Summary: Poor Tenel Ka! Review: This was just a little sad, but it was action-packed! This was a great book! I like Tenel Ka and Jacen in this book. ESPECIALLY when they argued over who's fault the lightsaber accident was! It was hilarious! Ambassador Yfra was a !%$#%@#%!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This was one of my favorites of the series. I could visualize everything well. How could this not be exciting? They get to build their own lightsabers! In this one, the Young Jedi Knights get to build their own lightsabers. While practicing, an accident befalls one of them though. Tenel Ka loses an arm to a lightsaber malfunction, and despite the fact that her family wants her to get a replacement arm, she refuses. This book is full of emotional changes for them, as well as many other interesting things.
