Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: I loved this book it talks of some "babymaking" but none that I think would offend anyone If you are interested interested in this book I suggest reading all of them in order My favorite was the last few lines of the book.
Rating: Summary: Not memorable at all Review: I read the first 2 books, and read this one for the sake of finishing the trilogy. I hoped that it would be better, but unfortunately I am disappointed. Firstly, the writing just doesn't flow. The very opening of the book seems chunky and stilted. It takes quite an effort to read the whole book. Throughout, much of the dialogue seems...weird... just not natural at all. You have this sense that the characters have written their thoughts down and are reciting it. Though the storyline is on the whole acceptable, I find that much of the book is cluttered with details, details and more details. I find myself flipping over pages, even chapters, at a time, skipping tedious commentary and descriptions to get straight to the action. Piers Anthony can write better than this. Just look at most of his Xanth novels -- plots flow smoothly, the writing is fluent and fresh, etc. Somehow this one has the feel of being written when half asleep.

Rating: Summary: More exciting than the first two books. Review: I thought that this book was better than the first two. Not that it was written any better, but that it had more interesting things going on in it. I thought that it was interesting how, towards the end, they had to struggle against the goblins and "Adverse Adepts" to get the huge ball of phazite across the curtain. The twist at the end that leaves Stile in Phaze and puts Blue in Proton wasn't something that I would've suspected. It wrapped up that part of the series quite nicely.
Rating: Summary: Juxtapose Review: Juxtaposition is the greatest piece of fantasy literature that I have ever read. This book captures the two most popular sides of the fiction world, science fiction and fantasy. I greatly enjoyed the book as Stile struggled to survive in the both frames. Struggling in Phase to find his enemy Adept and in Proton attempting to survive the game. I believe that one of the best moments of the book was when he discovers that the Red Adept is his enemy, but can also change frames, and that he is now competeing with her in the Proton games in a dramatic love scene. The person trying to kill him he now has to pretend that he loves. That puts a great ironic twist in the book. Piers Anthony is the best fantasy writer that I have ever read. He captures the imagination with vivide descriptionof the surroundings and people. Allowing the reader to picture every aspect of the world being described.
Rating: Summary: A great conclusion to the Apprentice Adept trilogy! Review: The book just keeps building and building at a manic pace, to produce one the craziest, most chaotic endings to a book and a series ever. It is really one of Anthony's best series...part of me wishes he'd kept the series to just the first three, but the second "trilogy" was also really good. But if you like adventurous (i.e. creative) fantasy, read this series.... And Sheen has quite a will for a robot.
Rating: Summary: If you ever read one book...make it this one! Review: This by far is the greatest book by Piers Anthony I have ever read. I read most of the book in school and stopped about half way through chapter Xanadu for about 3 months. When I started to read it again I was so hooked on the events and action unfolding that I read the rest of the book the same day. If you ever read one book in your lifetime, make it this one. Juxtaposition was such a good book, and had the best ending I've seen anywhere, that I found myself wishing that one day I would fall asleep and wake up in this very world that I had read about.I just wish that Mr. Anthony would have continued the series with Stile still shifting between worlds seeing Sheen to further develope their relationship. With all things considered this is the best book I've ever read. I hope Piers Anthony never stops writing.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Ending to a Wonderful Story Review: Wow. That has always been the first word out of my mouth after I finish this book, which I've read eight or nine times. While Piers Anthony haters and people who believe that sex has no place in fiction will become angry with his use of sex as humor and plot, the rest of the population should love it. The concepts introduced in this novel bring it away from the total "softcore" fantasy of the first two novels, while not making it into the "hardcore" Tolkien variety. Personally, I thought the ending to this book was the best I'd seen in a long time.
