Rating: Summary: COOL!!BOOK!!! Review: Good book must read!!Ever thought 1 boy could save his moms life by traviling to the over world. You will haft to read the story to find out what i'm talking about. I recomend it extremely!!
Rating: Summary: It was WONDERFUL! Review: I just finished reading it and it is fabulous! The story is well weaved into the first book, and is intricately designed to be it's own. These books should be so much more popular than Harry Potter(though I love Harry Potter), so why aren't they? Only a few people have understanding on classics like these. In this one, there is a BIG secret waiting to be told. It is so creppy when it is finally told. Rhia is so brave! And Merlin eats.....well.....you'll see. If you like fantasy and the Lost Years of Merlin, you will definetly like this book, but beware. It is not anything like Harry Potter!
Rating: Summary: For A Magic Lover Review: Did you ever wonder about the childhood of Merlin the Lord of Magic? I recommend this to anyone that likes Merlin and his magic. The author has a creative imagination, and it will take you to a far away place, with unique characters. How would you like to perform magic, mingle with some awesome creatures, fight evil demons, and have a sword with great magical ability? You do all this and more in the book The Seven Songs Of Merlin.
Rating: Summary: AS GOOD AS IT GETS! Review: This book is a very exciting, adventurous, creative, and magical. It is hard to find a book with all those adjectives describing it. But, The Seven Songs of Merlin is all of those! If you like any magic books such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Half Magic, or Harry Potter you will like this as good as you like the previous books that I mentoined or maybe even more! I recommend reading the first book in the series (the first book is called THE LOST YEARS of MERLIN) before going on to this book because the first book has a lot to do with this book. I don't know why this series is less popular then most of the other magic series because it's as good as all of the other ones! I recommended this book to two friends and they both couldn't put the book down until they finished it! Just try this or one books in the series and you are almost sure to like it!
Rating: Summary: An exciting romp through a magical world... Review: The quality of this book is incredibly immense; books written for the young adult age group hardly ever have me reading from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM. This novel was not only fun to read but incredibly addicting. Magic, action, depth -- this book has all of that. But it's not without some minor flaws. Everything ends up so peachy and happy at the end -- you get these emotional moments as if a character is departing from the series forever, but, as you soon find out, they aren't. And then you have some things that were written in the previous book, but then completely contridicted in the sequel. In THE LOST YEARS OF MERLIN it is stated that he would never hear his mother's voice again, but (don't worry, it's not a spoiler. [it's pretty clear after reading the summary {you know what I mean}) he totally and completely does. But, as you probably have figured out, these problems are very minor and need not be taken with a grain of salt. So take my advice. Buy this book.
Rating: Summary: Another great novel in the young Merlin epic! Review: In the second novel of the Merlin epic, T.A. Barron provides an excellent and exciting story for book fans. To save his mother, Merlin must find the essential soul of each of the seven songs of wizardry, written on Arbassa by Tuatha years before. These will enable him to visit the Otherworld and get the cure for his mother. The task seems impossible, both because Merlin knows nothing more about the songs than the writing told him, and although it requires traveling to all 4 corners of Fincayra, his task must be finished in 4 phases of the moon - before Elen dies. As Merlin and Rhia, joined by a mournful Jester, search for the soul of each song, Merlin learns as much about himself as wizardry. He learns many important lessons, including that great wizards need not only skill and power, but humility as well. The book is an exciting and wonderful story, in which we discover even more about the young boy who will eventually become the world's most famous wizard.
Rating: Summary: I'm 14 (2 years above the suggested age) and I love it! Review: After reading the first Lost years of Merlin book, I knew I had to read this one. As many sequels are worse than the first, this one was better! Now I only must read the Fires of Merlin, which is hopefully even better!
Rating: Summary: THE FANTASY ROLLERCOASTER OF YOUR LIFE! Review: This book is so good, you won't want to put it down! If you loved the first volume of this amazing saga, this one is EVEN BETTER! The plot is thick enough so that it is extremely interesting, yet you won't get lost. Barron has created charaters you won't forget. It is the best in this 4 part series, so READ IT!
Rating: Summary: DO NOT READ THIS BOOK WHEN SCHOOL PROJECTS ARE DUE! Review: Step 1: log off the internet Step 2: grab your coat and walkout the door Step 3: drive to the nearest bookstore Step 4: buy thisbook Step 5: READ IT! Why? Because any fantasy lover ready for a breath-taking ride will not be able to look away! Contrary to what the title says, the Seven Songs are not really songs. They are important lessons for the body, mind and soul. Accompanied by his friend Rhia, Merlin must save his mother's life learning the Songs and discovering their true meanings. Not knowing it, Merlin becomes a true wizard.
Rating: Summary: The Seven Songs Of Merlin Review: This book was really good.In fact it was one of the best books i have read.It went on right after the first book The Lost Years Of Merlin. It talks about how Merlin slacks off on his job of restoring Fincayra with the flowering harp.Instead he want to see his Mother Elen. This book was very good with a good plot and good story and it is just really good!
