Summary: Good with flaws
Review: The third book in Steve Perry's Aliens series was good but it lacked a few things such as a triumphant ending. In the movies and other books the story always ends with a good saying and/ or thought. This ended with no good things to say. Another thing- Wilks is my personel favorite character and he didn't even say anything in the end. And the character's stories are unfinished. There are hints of Wilks and Billie falling in love but it never really happens. Steve Perry should write another novel about Wilks and Billie with no Ripley. Or possibly even an Aliens vs. Predator novel with them. Just my thoughts and suggestions.

Summary: Part III and the final chapter to Perry's alien invasion
Review: This book has the best story out of the first three of the series. In this one, the two main characters join up with Ripley (from the movies) and return to the home planet of the aliens and capture their queen mother (queen of the queens) to release her on Earth so all the aliens flock to her, creating a perfect target for a nuclear weapon... you get the idea. The one thing you have to keep in mind while reading this book is that is was written before "Alien3" was filmed, and you'll know why I told you this while reading. This one as well deserves 5 stars.

Summary: This book was pretty good.
Review: This book was pretty good, but was worse than the other alien books that the Perry's have written. Being a male, I couldn't really relate to some of the problems and plots in this story. Since I don't think that girls enjoy these alien books, I think that the Perry's could have made the problems in this book more masculine than feminine. Other than that, however, this book was great! I couldn't put it down! Anyone who likes science fiction and doesn't have a quesy stomach would enjoy this book very much!

Summary: A Powerful War
Review: This is a classic example of an excellent aliens book. The die hard alien fans would find this a treat and even the neutral audiences would find something to smile about in this fantastically written book. It has action, gore, sex, surprises and great characters. This book is one of my best from all the aliens books; only 2nd to Aliens vs. Predator:Prey. Read this book and if you like it check these out!
Aliens:Labyrinth, Aliens:Nightmare Asylum, Aliens:Earth Hive, Aliens:Rogue, Alien:Music of the spears, Aliens:Genocide, Aliens:Alien Harvest, Aliens vs. Predator:Prey,
Aliens vs. Predator:War, Aliens vs. Predator:Hunters Planet,
Predator:Cold War, Predator:Concrete Jungle, Predator:Big Game.

Summary: Nice...
Review: Very good alien novel that stays true to the ALIENS movie / colonial marines idea...

Summary: A nice conclusion to Perry's trilogy
Review: While Nightmare Asylum cast a madman in the role of the villain, Female War returns it to the banana headed bugs we've come to know. And it's focused on the biggest one of them all, the queen mother.

While it's a very nice book, I have a few criticisms about it.

The characters, other than Wilks, Billie, and Ripley, aren't very well deveoped. So there's isn't any real sense of loss when one of them gets killed.

The ending offers some closure but also opens up new questions. I think that almost everyone who read this book wonders what happened to the crew? Based on some stuff in Genocide, we know the mission was a success but how does the crew explain hijacking a ship, taking it for a ride to a far away planet, getting some of the marines on board killed during the mission, and setting off some nukes in the Pacific Northwest?

There are also a few criticisms in the aliens in the book. First of all, the queens have 6 arms, not 4. Second, what would be the point of having a queen mother? If the aliens don't have the ability to travel into space and to other planets at whim, wouldn't having an alien that only produced queens quickly put hives in competition with each other over limited territory? Of course, it might make sense if the theory that the aliens are another alien's engineered living weapons . . . But at heart (or whatever vitals they have), these are still the black-shelled monsters we've know and love(?)

But despite these flaws, the book is really good. We didn't exactly spend lots of quality time with the marines in Aliens either and the queen mother is just one really nasty creature instead of an out-of-place being when you actually read the book. Having Riply and Billie right next to the perversion of motherhood of the queen mother was a nice touch. And finding out why Ripley is here when the book is set after Alien 3 is just as interesting as when the crew goes to the ground with the bugs.

Summary: Wow! Make A Movie Out Of This!
Review: Wow! This is the very best of the Aliens books. Kudos to Steve and Stephani Perry! They should make a movie out of this one!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: VERY DISAPPOINTING, THANK ALOT STEPHANI !!!!
Review: Ya know, Steve Perry was doing an excellent job with the 2 previous books, that is until, his no talent daughter had to come along. I know it sounds mean, and i feel bad about it, but i've gotta say it. You'll probably buy this book just to complete the collection. I bought it because the end of book2 introduced a new character, Lieutenant Ellen Ripley, and i was excited to see what she would bring to the series. Unfortunatley, none of the main characters really have the same attitude and dialoge that they did in the previous books. Wilks isn't really a main character in this one either. He doesnt' really show up a lot and even talk a lot. I loved Wilks, he was so awesome. I was glad to see that he finally had sex though. He needed it. Billy on the other hand, sweet tough chick turned baby slut, is really disappointing. Maybe Stephani Perry should have studied the previous 2 books before writing the characters in this one. Because they just don't feel the same. And it hurts the story, A LOT!! I loved the detailed action in book 1. The action in this is written very sloppily and unbalanced. And it just makes it plain boring. I loved the emotion in book 2. This one has no emotion what so ever. I never found myself smiling a silent "Awww," during this. I love warmheartedness, and it's just gone in this one. They story also leaves a lot to be desired. Wilks and Billie land on a "friendly" planet unlike the "Mean" planet they were on before. They gather a team with the Ripley (who is good in this book, but i need more than one good character),steal ship and head to earth to kill the queen alien. It's sloppy and boring. The ending totally sucks too. What a way to end a great book series, with a sucky last story and a stupid, pointless, unemotional ending. BILLIE AND WILKS DON'T EVEN HAVE A SCENE TOGETHER AT THE END!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ALL ABOUT!! BACK OFF STEPHANI PERRY!!
