Review: This book was wonderful! Brillant! Amazing! A beautiful book for all ages to read. I highly recommend this book, and all other Peirs Anthony Novels. My parents love them, my uncle loves them, my friends love them, and I love them too. They are a wonderful part of non-reality. Read if you dare.

Summary: Good book and a change of setting.
Review: This certainly was different. I have read his other Xanth novels and this one seems to change the scene and I don't mean it's alternate worlds. Most of if not all the other books were centered around the royal family or those in close contact with them. Mare Imbri has hardly done anything involving the Royal Family since Nightmare. And there is Forest a very confused but versitile faun (hence the name). Also we get to see the strange and fascinating world of Ptero. It certainly gave us something new and interesting to explore, although I would have thought that we might have heard,by now, about whatever happened to Jenny Elf.

Summary: This is my Favorite of all the Xanth books
Review: This is a great book! its my favorite of all of the Xanth novels. It has a great storyline. Also, i liked the idea of Ida's Moons. and the puns were punny(funny). I really enjoyed this book.

Summary: it was good, but just the same old thing
Review: this was a good, easy to read and fun, but it was pretty much like the rest of the series: main character has a problem, goes to good magician, then ends up in a full fledged adventure. it would be nice if one of the characters figured out wait to do without the good magician. over all, the plot was ok, considering the fact that it is the same old stuff, but i have gotten used to that. the only thing that i didn't like about this novel, was that it was getting kind of ridiculus with all the trips to ida's moon. i kept on loosing track of where the characters were, where they came from, and what they were trying to accomplish. the ending was good, but predictable. and it was a happy ending, and i like those.

Summary: This book was excellent
Review: This was one of the best Xanth novels to date. Anthony really went all out. The relationships between the characters were so real, and you really got to know the main characters. The plot of the story was also well thought out. The way Forrest Faun got invovled in everything, surely took a lot of planning on Anthony's part. It was great reading about the different lands (the moons revolving around the Idas' heads), and it really added more dimension to Xanth. And as always, there was an abundance of puns. By far, this is one of the best novels I have read lately.

Summary: One of the hardest of the series to read.
Review: Though the book is still fun to read, it was pretty much like the rest of the series: main character has a problem, goes to good magician, then ends up in a full fledged adventure. The trips to ida's moon is enough to make anyone loose track of where the characters were, where they came from, and what they were trying to accomplish.

Summary: Can't stop reading Piers Anthony.
Review: Waiting for the next book

Summary: Xanth's Latest Throwaway characters out of control
Review: Xanth's latest suffers from the same illness of Baywatch: Too many characters to follow the series. I fell in love with Bink, Chameleon, Dor, and other characters who make rare guest appearances nowadays. Why not go back to the best-loved characters? The fantasy-within-a-fantasy world herein just strains my willing suspension of disbelief. Read the first 10 books like Castle Roogna or A Spell for Chameleon to find the real charm of the series and to find characters that weren't made of cardboard.
