Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: I have now read the book three times and it gets better each time I read it. A totally amazing adventure that sucks you into the story right away. I loved having Dawn and Eve as teenagers. And getting to read about all the might-be's was so captivating. PUNS PUNS PUNS = FUN FUN FUN.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ !
Review: I just got finished reading this book and I honestly must say, I couldn't keep my nose out of it.It was the best book I ever read and I mean that. The plot behind the book will keep you going so you never wanna put the book down! I must say the ending of the book was also the best ending that I have seen in a long time.I recomend this book for the ages of 15 and Older, Only reason I say 15 is because the book does talk a little about the sexual nature,if you will.I would say to buy this book and keep it close to your heart and I did.Enjoy!

Summary: What Happened?!
Review: I love Xanth books, and I own and have read all of them. This last book though... If you read the author's notes than you know that Piers Anthony get a lot of ideas from his readers. He tries to use as many of them as he can, and I think it's really hurting his work. None of the older characters fade away either. I like the older characters (like Bink and Trent), but Xanth has become too crowded! To under stand what's going on, you have to remember all the major characters, plus all the bit characters that the readers have introduced. Also, it was very obvious that the puns were thrown in. Not to mention trying to remember which moon their on! It just wasn't an enjoyable read. Sorry.

Summary: WORST BOOK EVER
Review: I THOUGHT THIS BOOK WAS HORRID, I FELT MYSELF BEGIN TO VOMIT AS I TURNED EACH PAGE. THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN THIS BOOK IS ANTHONY'S ABILITY TO SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH HIS WORDS AND THOUGHT. HIS CHARECTERS IN THIS BOOK WERE UNDERDEVELOPED AND FROM THE TITLE ITSELF YOU KNOW ITS GOING TO BE A CHEESY STORY. PLEASE IF YOU BUY ONE BOOK THIS YEAR....BUY A THESAURES AND SEND IT TO MR. ANTHONY.

Summary: Xanth in general
Review: I've been reading the Xanth series for about 5 years now and I have managed to read almost all of them. I read most of them early in my junior high years and I really enjoyed them. So after taking a few years off from reading, I decided to try them again as a highschool senior to see if my sugary memories are valid. I must say that his books have become a bit overrun by all of the puns, some of which seem haphazardly thrown in. I found myself skimming sections of puns to get to the real "meat" of the story. I realize that Piers wants to please the people who give suggestions, but I think he should employ a more in-depth process of selection, instead of just trying to use up as many of them as he can. The succession of moons was tedious, and the ending a bit predictable-but isn't that where some of Xanth's charm resides? We all know the basic formula for his books. Character has problem. Character sees the Good Magician for an Answer. Magician gives a grumpy, cryptic Answer which involves an Adventure. Character is joined by other Characters, one of whom will become his Love Interest. Character and Friends embark on a journey involving dragons, adventure, love. Character completes his mission, realizes that the Good Magician knew what he was talking about, and marries Love Interest. Ta-Da, happy ending. Xanth is silly, but what do we expect? It doesn't masquerade around as a meaningful, in-depth analysis of human nature. If you are looking for a read like Great Gatsby or other classics, this isn't the place. But I still find Xanth to be a relaxing, easy read that, once started, is impossible to put down. It has a magical appeal that isn't lost on me.

Summary: Hmmm...
Review: I've just finished reading Faun & Games and have over the years read every Xanth novel before it. I gotta say, here was a setting with a fair amount of potential. Exploring Ptero had so much possibility. A world of might-bes. Unfortunately, the author seems to have just exploited it as a means to including as many of his readers Xanthine suggestions as he could, designing a loose plot around this catalogue. Please try harder Piers I know you can do better.

Summary: A disappointment
Review: I've read all of the prior Xanth novels and enjoyed them all, but the latest, Faun and Games, was definitely a disappiontment. Completely overrun with puns, I lost most of the storyline because of the jokes that became tiresome after the first few chapters. I barely got through the novel. I love the Xanth series, but Faun and Games is by far the worst of them all. A journey on the world of Ptero, where everything that has and ever will be resides, was a great idea, but I found this novel to be boring. I hope that the next installment of the Xanth series will be a little more readable, and the puns and adult conspiracy junk will be brought down a notch.

Summary: Read Faun & Games! It's one of many Pier's best books!
Review: If you have read Yon Ill Wind, you will want to read this book! If you remember, in the end, the Demon Xanth is paralyzed and Chlorine's last tear falls. Well, wait no more to find out what had happened afterwards! In Faun & Games, Piers sort of tells you what happens aftrerwards. Okay, now about Faun & Games. It's about this faun that travels to Ptero(the moon that orbits aroun Ida's head.) to find a replacement for his friend's tree. (His friend fell into the Void.) He travels with Mare Imbri and when they get there, they meet a Princess Ida there and they go into HER moon! It gets complicating because they were in a moon of a moon. Later on, you will discover that they go past some more moons until they finally complete their mission for the Ptero's habitants, in which they can finally go home. However, that is not the end...you have to read about it to discover something really interesting! GREAT BOOK!

Summary: Not my favorite, but OK
Review: In my opinion this is not one of the better Xanth books. It sort of drags along but some interesting and good things happen. As for those who continue to complain that there are too many puns all I can say is "then quit reading them unless you like to be unhappy"!!!
