Review: Jeez...I have read other novels by steve perry, but this tops em' all. Everything was perfect about it, the action, the descriptiveness, perry is absoutly brillant, i cant get enough of his work, if you like gory action,suspense, sci-fi or even just a damn good book i suggest this book!

Summary: I liked this book much more the the others!
Review: Since I read the others before I read this one, so I knew what to expect. But this book is a little better than the others, in my opinion. The characters are great compared to the other alien books I have read. They are detailed down to the last fault or strength. The plot is also very well written. Being male, I think I can relate to this book more than the 3rd book in the series, The Female War. All in all, this book was the best Aliens book I've read so far. Thumbs up Steve Perry!

Review: Steve Perry, does a great job of developing the characters and showing their movitivations.

A couple things I found odd. One he talks about the APC descending from outer space and then landing on the Alien Homeworld. The last time I watched "Aliens" It was the drop ship that had to "drop off" the APC to the planet surface. The marines were stranded on the surface until they could radio control the second drop ship from the sulacco. In Steve perry's world the APC takes off from the planet surface as well. If your a fan of the Alien series like I am little things like this will annoy you.

A second problem with all of Steve Perry's Alien books and Alien vs predator books is that there is very limited tension. the movies have you on the edge of the seat. Why? because you see the monsters sparingly and when you do it's because they have snuck up on you and are ready to attack. Here there are running after the marines across the open plains of the alien world. Which erases any sense of suspense.

Third, he repeatedly calls the Drone Aliens stupid, but the queen is smart. granted The queen is one smart, tough creature, but as Ripley said in Aliens. just one of those things managed to destroy my whole crew. Rewatch the movies Alien & Aliens and you'll see that the alien drone is anything but dumb. It's extremely cunning. In Alien, it had enough sense to outsmart her entire crew, and when the Nostromo was going to self destruct it tried to escape with Ripley in her pod.

These faults deminish what could have been a really great 5 star book. Still I recommend this book there are many good parts that deliver the goods that's why I've given it 4 stars

Review: This book is a really great edition to all the Aliens books that are out there, Perry did a fantastic job on this book The parts that I dont get are Bille and Wilks seem exactly like Newt and Hicks in Aliens, But besides that, this book is really cool, and really sick too!

Review: This book is fantastic. The story is basically set in the furture after at least the first two of the movies. It portrays human civilisation of the future with fanatical elements, greedy corporations and expansion into the grittiness of space. Space is by no means a pretty place be it on a nice safe space cruiser or a dangerous alien world. The story is full of gore and a few clever twists. The characters are the standard affair and character comparisons to "Alien Ressurection" are at times relevant. Alien fans will love this book which leads also onto a series. Enjoy and watch out for those tell tale chest pains!

Review: This book picks up 10 years after the second Alien movie. It has great character portrail and has tons of in your face action. Why make Alien Resurection when you could have just made this.
