Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best of the AvP trilogy Review: I absolutely LOVE this book! I think they did a real good job it. What i especially liked about this one is that the author would not only give you insight on what the humans were thinking, the predators also. This book answered alot of my questions that I had about the Yautja(predators) and also other interesting facts. I agree with some reviewers that the Aliens were not in this book much...thats actually how it is in all 3 books. I've read the other books Predators books as well -- Predator: Cold War, Big Game, and Concrete Jungle. I've also read pretty much all the comic books that Dark Horse has published. Dont get me wrong, i enjoyed these books(concrete jungle & cold war), but they never gave me what I wanted..which was more about the Predator. I was totally relieved and excited that the authors went into it! And for a bonus, i've also read AvP: Hunters Planet and AvP: War. Basically for those books, I only found the end of them interesting. This was because pretty much all the action was saved for the end. What I didn't I found troublesome about this Trilogy was that there was a HUGE plot hole in the story. If you read all 3, you'll know what I mean.Bottom line -- if you'd like to know more about the Predator, this is the probably the best source!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good, but not great Review: This is where the Aliens/Predator crossover concept began. "Prey" is a novelization of the original Dark Horse comic-book mini-series, and a lot of buzz has surrounded whether this storyline will be used in the crossover movie--if they can ever film it. "Prey" has all the hard-edged action of both the "Alien" and "Predator" movie franchises. The concept of bringing these worlds together is believable: humans are colonizing a planet that Predators had previously used for training. Unaware of the humans, the Predators salt their hunting ground with Alien eggs and the ultimate trophy: a live Alien queen. Things quickly get out of hand as the Aliens run loose across the colonists' compound and the Predators seem to waver between cleaning up their mess and simply "playing through" and completing their hunt. This time around, our cliche "Ripley" character is a woman named Noguchi. She makes an excellent character, going from a businesswoman who does martial arts as a hobby to a vicious, hard-battling heroine unafraid to wade into the chaos if it means she can save some of her people--that's often the appeal of these novels: someone ordinary like us can become something more and survive. As Noguchi meets up with one of the Predators, the unlikely duo form an uneasy alliance and bring more action to the story by tying two separate story threads together. Overall, the writing is good, the story is interesting, and the novel makes a good read if you're already a fan. It's not an amazing and fantastic book, but if you're looking for entertainment you can't go wrong.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: excellent book Review: This book despite what people say is not a cheap knock off of Predator 2 and its story line. Yes their are some similarities but much of this story is different from Predator 2. This is a much broader story ranging from NYC to Central America and there is more than one Predator involved. The ending is kinda cool. Some parts were not enjoyable be in all it is an excellent story and very enjoyable.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: an entertaining pulp Review: i bought this book thinking that it was a graphic novel, and i felt disappointed after realising that it's not. so i decided afterwards to finish reading it fast.but to my surprise ,i ended up liking it. i wanted to give it a five star, but the fact that it's an adaptatoin from a graphic story by randy stradley and chris warner, and that it's written by two people, a father and daughter team, steve perry and stephani perry, changed my mind. the story.human colonization of outer space,a planet called ryushi,a wrong choice, for we discover later that the predators use it as a training ground.the human with their cattle and ranches, the predators with their aliens fox hunting.the ranchers don't like their female japanese boss.a young predator warrior doesn't like his captin.discoveries of both sides , the aliens break loose and the plot thickens. what i really liked about the book is it's depiction of the predators army life ,their language and the human encounter ,especially on pages 164 and 165.this form of greeting, placing the right hand on the left sholder of a friend and shaking it slightly,is used by sudanese men in sudan africa.i don't know if the writers know that or not. an enjoyable pulp.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: aliens vs predator: at their best Review: This is what I can only describe as a classic avp book, predators will fight to the death, fighting for their honour and a big trophy for the mantle-piece. Whereas aliens are quite the opposite, fighting for survival and will destroy anything in their path. In the middle of it all is the colonial marine, killing anything that isn't human and always trying to save their precious estalishment. The artwork is a realistic interpretation of the original films and makes the story exciting to read - difficult to put down once started! Like most other good graphic novels its not all about 'kill the baddies!!!' because in the end who really is the 'baddie?' In the eyes of each character they could all be bad. As I don't particuarly enjoy reading these graphic novels are a good way to get me to read. The artwork helps my imagination and keeps my interest where loads of words just wouldn't. If you are interested in science fiction (aliens, predator etc.) then basicaly this book is definitely worth reading. :)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Masterpiece, simple as that Review: This book is in a word, extraordinary. From the awesome beginning to the spectacular end, I was hooked, and could not put this book down. Seeing things from the Predator point of view for some parts was very cool and added to the overall don't-wanna-put-it-down feel of the book. This book has a very well thought out plot with many unexpected twists and turns, especially as you get closer and closer to the end. I don't want to ruin any of this wonderful and thrilling book for anybody, you should buy it and read it, I guarantee fans of either of the movie series or even science fiction in general, you will NOT be dissapointed.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The #1 in Aliens V.S. Predator Review: I bought this book in 94' or 95' and have had to since purchase a new copy due to wear and tear on the original. I have had numerous people ask to borrow the book from me, and am more than glad if it will bring them into the Aliens/Predator world. Everyone I have introduced to the book has purchased it and others, but I for one still see this as the best of the best.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An outstanding book. Review: I am a big fan of the Alien and Predator movies, so when I found out there were books, I immediately looked into it. I bought this book about a month ago and read it in about a week. It was outstanding. Other books mainly focus on just the people's point of view, but this book gets really in depth with the yautja (Predators) and you learn alot more about them. This book is filled with action, adventure, suspence, and a whole lot of alien slaughter! So I really suggest you read this book!
