Summary: Wonderful book, a must-read.
Review: I love to read fantasy and science fiction books, I've found a lot of good books out there- but Anne McCaffrey's books top them all. Dragondrums tells the story of Piemur (Menolly's first Harper Hall friend) and it shows him just as the mischevious boy who is truly good at heart. A must read!!

Summary: CAPTIVATING!
Review: I loved it! It may not have been as good as the first two of the Harper Hall trilogy, but it was still Captivating. Dragondrums is one of the best Pern books written yet!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I enjoyed this book, but.........
Review: I recommend all of McCaffrey's books, but this one is definitely one of the best! You'll be drawn into the characters, and into the world. Pern is a fantastic creation, that holds the imagination beyond even the characters. And the characters are some of the best-loved in literature. Her plots are occasionally simplistic, and the language is easy -- which make them excellent books for younger readers or those who are not avid readers. But, make no mistake, she can hold even the most voracious reader's attention.

Summary: Why Piemur
Review: I thought that it was wrong to write about Mellonly for two books and then switching to a diffrent caracter. I did manage to love this book like all of her books. So I sugest that everyone read the Harper Hall Trelegy.

Summary: Not What Expected but Great Read
Review: I was hoping that this third installment of the Harper Hall trilogy would be about my favorite character, Menolly. Instead, the book is about Piemur, Menolly's friend, whose golden voice changes with puberty, and he is forced to reassess his life. Piemur runs away from Harper Hall and finds adventure in the jungles of the Southern Continent. Menolly is mentioned here and there, so we find out what happens to her. Maybe it's because I'm female, but I just couldn't get as attached to Piemur, as immersed in his world. Still a great book by one of my favorite authors.

Summary: A magical kingdom filled with heroic deeds and honesty
Review: I'm thirty now and spend most of my time reading manuals for work or historical autobiographies, but every once in a while I like dipping back into my wonder years and sailing off with a novel or story that's close to my childs heart. Anne McCaffrey and her Drgonsong series does just this for me. If you want your kids growing up loving literature, this is a great place to begin

Summary: Good third to a fascinating trilogy!
Review: It's intensely gratifying to read another book so finely crafted by Anne McCaffrey! I like the emphasis on Piemur's spunkiness. I also like Anne deviating from Piemur to focus on events around him, which gives "Dragondrums" depth. Yet another great read! (It kind of leaves you hanging, though, to tell the truth.)

Summary: Great book!
Review: Of all the books Anne has written the Harper Hall series is by far my favorite. And this was my favorite book in the series. I thought this was an incredible moving story of Piemur and I wish there were more books about him. Anyone should read it!
