Rating: Summary: Teenage Book-Reader Review: I thought this book was a real page turner. The title was the part that really caught my eye. As well as the billing "A Novel of Good and Evil." I was very interested in the adventures of Nest and Pick, as well as how they would kill the demon. Who the demon turned out to be was the real shock. I was sad when the book ended and I had to put it aside. I was so mesmerized by the adventures and secrets of the book that I longed for a sequel. I knew the story couldn't be over. I give this book a 5 star rating because it was interesting, mind-boogleing, and very unpredictable.

Rating: Summary: Lots of action! Awsome reading! Review: I at first thought this was going to be a bad book, but as soon as I started reading I couldn't stop. Nest is a good person, escpecially when she stands up for her friends and protects her family with her magic. She was always saving children from the creatures in the park. She evetually finds out her father is the deamon, and uses her magic against him. Wraith, another creature from the park, saves Nest from her death and kills her father. This is a really great book, and you should read it!!!

Rating: Summary: I Live Near "Hopewell" Review: Hopewell Illinois is actually a fictional name for Sterling, Illinois, which is the town where Terry Brooks was born. I found Running With the Demon to be a fascinating novel. The book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't put it down. I am familiar with the real Sinissippi park, and I especially liked all the action that took place there. It is a very large park, so its easy to see how Nest, Pick, John, and the others found adventure there. Mr. Brooks has a way of storytelling that creates vivid images in the reader's mind. This makes the story more enjoyable. The characters truly come to life, and you can actually feel their emotions.
Rating: Summary: Make sure to read "A Knight of the Word" too! Review: This story is a different path for Terry Brooks to take. The book is more focused on the concept of evil in the world, and this evil being human nature and other natural horrors. In John Ross's dreams, he sees the horrors of the Armageddon, and what happened after the demons of the void took over the earth. He could not stop it, but in his dreams, as he sees more and more terror and destruction, Ross feels that he has no other purpose but to make sure that these terrible events never come to pass.
Rating: Summary: Inarguably one of Brook's best books Review: Running with the Demon is of course, not like any book that Terry Brooks has written. In this novel, he drops the fairly land countryside and resorts to the scary reality of today's life. This book is like a tapestry, woven of so many threads to form a complex web of questions, answers, hope and betrayals. The book has a kind of cold, hard, reality twist to it, that can scare you with its depth but eventually glues it to your fingers. The whole book slides in and out of your hands; just when you think you have the answer and it's so simple, the book turns over into a new game with a complete different question to prove your answer wrong. It brushes your mind with fear, it seems impossible that anything could work out. The fact that the demon is Nest's father shocks you completely though you get tantalizing hints about it around the end. Even in the end, I still had questions but Running with the Demon is indeniably, one of his best books for its incredible complexity and extremely frightning plot.
Rating: Summary: It was Unputdownable, the best book I've ever read Review: I am usually a fantasy type of person, I was surprised to discover that this book had a very realistic aspect about it, I almost didn't read it when I found out it wasn't anything to do with the usual Shannarra or Landover worlds, but actually in the real world, with a twist. I would highly recommend this thrilling story to anyone wanting to break away from the fantasy world for a bit and add a bit of fantasy to the real world. After meeting the characters and becoming a part of Nest, John Ross, the Demon and the fantasy characters, such as the feeders, Pick the sylvan, and the very brief Meantrog(I hope I spelled it right), all the doubt I had about it being another Drama was quickly snuffed out and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Rating: Summary: A lot of fun Review: Not as dark as certain reviewers led me to believe. Sure Brooks has a bad habit of borrowing his ideas. The whole "are you my father?" thing came straight out of his last book - The First King of Shanara. But this book is such fun reading that I totally forgive him.
