Rating: Summary: Lifebond with a book?? Review: This book is...beyond words! There are just a few books that I've read that could inspire such a deep understanding of its characters (two of them being the first and last of the "Magic" series by Mercedes Lackey). Talia, Kris, and Dirk were all (almost) perfectly molded as developed, interesting, yet faulted characters that people can relate to. They are funny and sarcastic and emotional and bright...and human, not gods or goddesses in their own rights. With all of their good comes bad, times when they are stupid (Dirk and his "cold"), arrogant (Kris, just about all of the time), vain (Kris again), and nuts (that applies to not just the triad, but EVERYONE in the book). Arrow's Fall made me bawl--if you want romance and danger (that's what Heralds are for!) and adventure and trajedy and friendship, pick up the "Arrow" series and you'll be busy for a long time...

Rating: Summary: Another very good Trilogy Review: This is a very emotional ending to the story of the new Queen's Own, Herald Talia. This is a very good Trilogy, but it IS a trilogy. I think you would be advised to read this set in order, Because there is no time lost, as in The Last Herald-Mage Trilogy. If I had started with this trilogy, I don't think I would have become such a fan of Misty. It IS very good. The overall story gripped me, as it did with TLHM. But I did not 'click' with Talia, like I did with Vanyel. (This is of course my opinion, and I know many others who think this story is the best.)
Rating: Summary: Excellent fairytale type story. Pauper turned princess type. Review: This is a wonderful fairytale type story of a mistreated girl
who has little hope of ever being happy until one day the Queens
Own Companion comes looking for her. An excellent story for those who like to see the underdog win once in a while.
Rating: Summary: It's a book you won't be able to put down! Review: This is an excellent book. It's full of suspense and there's always danger involved (ex. Elspeth dallying with the courtiers, Kris and Talia in Hardorn, Hulda's back, etc). It's really heart-wrenching when Kris dies, but so sweet when Dirk finally admits he loves Talia, giving in to their lifebond.
Rating: Summary: Spellbinding Review: This is an extremely good end to an equally good trilogy. I was literally in tears through the last three or four chapters. It's got everything, pain and torture for you sadists out there, heartbreaking romance for the deathless romantics (::waves to fellow deathless romantics::) and action/adventure for the heroic types. Mercedes Lackey skillfully brings all these threads together in a well-crafted book. READ IT!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books of the century Review: This is definatly one of the best books since Court Duel, and I almost went crazy waiting for it to come into the library. Talia has returned from her internship assignment with Herald Kris, and is now the official Queens Own. Unfortunatle, she realizes that she is suffering from more-than-friendly feelings from Kris's best friend, Dirk, and Dirk feels the same way towards her. But Dirk has had a bad beginning with females, since he is not particularly handsome, and he thinks that Talia is in love with Kris, who is really handsome. Things go downhill from there. Talia, desperate for an escape once she realizes that she and Dirk are suffering from a particularly strong lifebond. Talia, along with Kris, goes to scout out a possible marriage for the princess Elspeth. But the possible groom spells trouble. Kris is killed, and Talia is tortured. The last half of the book is sad. I like it when Talia magically confesses love to Dirk, just as he has verbally done it. All in all, this is a very good and moving book.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars is Not Enough! Review: This is my favorite book! When I finished it for the first time, I turned back to page one and read it cover to cover again....twice. 'Nuf said.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books this century! Review: This is one of the best book's I've ever read. A real attention keeper, and an inevitable tear-jerker. Talia is a great heroine, and the enemies are horribly evil and decieving
Rating: Summary: An absolutely wonderful read! Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read. This book is a real tear-jerker -- be sure to have lots of Kleenex! I always cry when I read this book, altough I know that Talia will be alright in the end. A well-deserved thumbs-up to Lackey for her excellent writing and wonderful attention to detail
