Summary: My introduction to Anne McCaffrey
Review: About ten years ago, my brother gave me a box of books he no longer wanted. As i started to look through this box, I picked up a book and said, "Dragonsinger? But dragons don't sing!" After all, most 8-yr. olds don't understand books written for teens-adults. The first time I read, it was my instant favorite. And it always will be! I highly reccommend this book to anyone who enjoys McCaffrey, fantasy-science fiction, and/or dragons. I've had it for ten years, and STILL everytime I read it, I can't put it down. Be warned, after you red it, you have to read the rest of the trilogy. (The other two books are at least as good as the first!!!)

Summary: A RE-READER, DEFINITELY!!
Review: I read this book after Dragonsong, and it's just as good! There isn't much I can say about this book except that I will read it over and over again!!! Another wonderful book by Anne McCaffrey!

Summary: This is a GREAT book, and worth keeping and re-reading
Review: I love this book, i started reading the series with Dragonsong and read through Dragondrums, but this is my all time favorite, I've actually read it completely through then turned back to the first page to re-read it again. This is one book I'll keep forever and give to my kids to read, it's truly wonderful.

Summary: Wow!
Review: The books in the Harper Hall trilogy are among the few that I am willing to read over and over again. The characters are incredibly real and pull you into the story. I think Dragonsinger is the best of the three, but they are all outstanding. The style of the books is descriptive, but the action is fastpaced and wonderful. I think these books should be required reading....then maybe we would all believe in fire lizards! ;)

Summary: My Favorite Book of All Time?
Review: This is quite possibly my favorite book from my favorite author. As a teen I read Dragon Song and Dragon Singer and came as close as anyone can to falling in love with a character in a book. Anne puts more real emotions and situations into her science fiction novels than most writers of "reality based" fiction ever could. I do not know how anyone could read this book and not feel that Menolly and Robington and their fire lizards must exist in some plane of existance and that Anne is merely conveying their very real story. If Frank L. Baum declared himself the royal historian of Oz, then Anne to has claimed that position for an equally fantastic, and yet real place; Pern.

Summary: This excelent book is for dreamers and musicians.
Review: This book is one of the greatest science fiction novels ever written. The wonderful story of a girl who has been admited to a Harper Hall because of her talent for writing beautiful music and being an all around great musician. This plot is fantastic. I loved the book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A smashingly joyful book!
Review: One of my favorite books, about my absolute favorite Pern character, Menolly, and one of my other favorites, Robinton. For anyone who's felt life crush their creativity, or been stifled by those who felt *your* time better spent on *practical* things rather than the ffort and exuberance needed to chase and achieve your dreams, this is an absolutely thrilling book.
