Summary: Good but read DRAGONSONG first.
Review: I really liked this book but I think I would have liked it better if I had read some other books first. This was the first book of Anne McCaffrey I read and thought that she had only written a couple of books. Boy was I wrong! I found it in my school's library with only DRAGONSONG alongside it. But I saw that there was some other books besides them and I have been reading everyone that I could get my hands on. 6/28/99

Summary: simply wonderful
Review: This has to be THE best book that Anne Mccaffrey has written. I have read almost all the Pern books and this is my favorite. This is the best sequal to Dragonsong. I wish there were more books to continue Menolly's adventures.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A book that looks at the life in Harper Hall.
Review: Ever since I started reading Anne Mccaffery's books over seven years ago I was always facinated with what went on inside the Harper Hall. Then I read Dragonsong and was captured by Menolly's music. When she arrived at the Harper Hall all I could think was finnally I get to see what life is like in the Harper Hall. This is indeed one of Mccaffery's greatest books and has earned the 5 stars.

Summary: Great book, but pales in comparison to the others
Review: This book is, by itself, wonderful, but in comparison to the other Pern novels, I have to give it 3 stars. This trilogy, altho a nice compliment to the Dragonriders of Pern trilogy, isn't as well-written. If it weren't for the other books, I'd probably give it 4 or even 5 stars.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a REALLY great book!
Review: This book continues the story of Menolly as an apprentice in Harper Hall. It's a really good book and tells of Menolly's troubles and successes in Harper Hall. This is another cannot put down book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellant
Review: It is a truely wonderful book that gives you a diffrent perspective of Pern. I will be rereading it for years to come!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you love Pern, you will regret not reading this book.
Review: The 1st book I read in the Dragonbook series was the Dragonriders of Pern. I fell in love with the characters, and knowing how Menolly struggled to have what she loved was wonderful. I also saw Lord Jaxom break the egg from a different point of view, I got to know Mirrim better which was good because in The White Dragon, I didn't really like her. Menolly's interactions with people were so . . . When she was upset, I was upset. I loved it when she impressed people with her musical abilities. This a spectacular book a must read for lovers of Pern.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best out of a well written series
Review: I beleive that this is the best book in this series. The way that most everyone treats Menolly as the first girl harper is truley inspiring. Everytime I read it (which has been several hundreds of times), it draws me into it like i'm actually there. It makes me wish that there was actually a magical place like this. If you have not read this book I definately recommend it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent story, well written, and spellbinding
Review: The Harper Hall Series: Dragonsinger, Dragonsong, and Dragondrums, are the best Pern novels written to date by Anne McCaffery. The suspence is wonderful, the characters are true to life, the story is very well written. Even if you didn't like some of the other Pern novels, try these, you'll be surprised.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the BEST!!
Review: I love Anne McCaffery and have all her books, but Dragonsong, Dragonsinger, and Dragondrums are my favorite. She is such a good author and I would tell any of my friends to read these great books. Dragonsinger is the best of the three because I like the way everybody interacts with Menolly. If you like fantasy then you will love this author!
