Summary: Actually....
Review: I changed my mind. I wrote the review about it being boring. I red the end and I knind of liked it. The neginning was a total bore. I must admit that. But, it got very good. In fact I decided to read the whole Harper Hall Trilogy and liked that too. It's a good book. (Except for the beginning)

Summary: The best book I've read
Review: I am 12 and I bought this book for 75 cents at a library used book sale. I bought it because it looked cool and I'm into fantasy; I'd never read a book by Anne McCaffrey before. I started reading it and I couldn't put it down, so I sat there reading it all day until I finished it and loved it so much that I got Dad to take me to buy Dragonsinger straight away because I was so into it that I didn't want to stop. I've finished the trilogy and loved every bit of it. The amazing thing is, I don't really like reading and don't usually unless I have to, but I can't put down one of Anne McCaffrey's books. She's my absolute favorite author!

Summary: Boring.....
Review: I never really liked fantasy books but I decided to try this one. It's pretty boring, I must say! Its about a girl named Menolly who likes to sing. Thats it! Its boring! I definately don't recommend it to anyone under 12.

Summary: One of Anne McCaffrey's Best!
Review: This delightful addition to the Dragonriders of Pern series introduces miniature dragons to Ms. McCaffrey's already well-rounded list of Pern characters. Menolly, a neglected misfit to her family, encounters a clutch of eggs while running away. With her astounding voice & the new dragons, the 1st in the Dragonsong trilogy weaves a fascinating picture of courage, overcoming obstacles & prejudice, and, of course, Ms. McCaffrey's generous sprinkling of humor, adventure & romance. It's a timeless book I read again & again. Enjoy!

Summary: An excellent opening of the Harper Hall trilogy!
Review: All who love Pern cannot help loving Menolly with her unique gifts, courage and sweet nature! A book I'd recommend to everyone, just remember to also read the other parts of the Harper Hall trilogy, Dragonsinger and Dragondrums!

Summary: Dragon Lovers Book
Review: I am a very big dragon fan. I thought this was the best out of the Harper Hall Trilogy. Anne McCaffrey is very colorful with her ideas in this book.

Summary: Wonderful wonderful fantasy book-one of my all time faves!!!
Review: I first read this in sixth grade. Once I went into high school, I bought it and have read it countless times since. The land of Pern is fantastic and I hope Ms. McCaffrey intends to keep teaching us about this world. Menolly is a great heroine and an inspiriation to keep dreaming. A note to people who feel this was unresolved, this was the first book of a trilogy know as the harper hall trillogy. Read Dragonsinger and DragonDrums, the two sequels, as well as the later Pern books like The White Dragon and All the Weyrs of Pern, which continue the story of Menolly, Master Robinton, and the other dragonriders, harpers, weyrleaders, holders, etc. It is a fantastic read for any SF-fantasy lover.

Summary: Excellent overall book!
Review: This book is one of the best I've ever read. Anne McCaffrey does an excellent job in keeping the reader's full attention to the very end, as well as creating a parallel world that is similar, yet very different, from our own. I highly recommend this book. It's one for all ages.

Summary: I liked this book a lot. I would reccomend it.
Review: This book was very good. It is about a girl who goes and lives with little dragons. She is a very good music player but she can't play where she lives because she is a girl. This book is very exciting. It also is very interesting because she makes friends with the little dragons. Anne Mcafferey does a very good job of explainig the charactors. You really feel as though you are there. You should definetely read this book.

Summary: A great book to get yourself started in Pern
Review: If you have never been to Pern, this is where you should start. It isn't hard, difficult, or boring, but instead is rather easy to read, and enjoyable. You will find yourself wanting to read the others if you read this. The Pern books are popular because, for one, they can be related to by the readers, despite the guise of a planet far, far away and a society of dragonriders and harpers. I love this book, and have read it several times. It never grows dull.
