Summary: Anne McCaffrey books are the only books I read.
Review: I have truly enjoy the books: Dragonsong, Dragonsinger, and Dragondrums. I love them because Anne makes her books sound so real, even if it has nothing in commain to our planet, Earth. I also like the books because the mighty dragon is my favorite animal. The only problem is that the last book left you hanging, I wish their was a 4th book. I would like to thank Anne for the joy she has given me by writing her books. Thank you and may God smile on you always.

Summary: A Wonderful book!
Review: The book took me forever to read! But I still finished it and loved it! I am now on the second book DragonSinger. Menolly is kind of like me and kind of not like me. I would suggest it to any one who likes Science fiction. But you should be a good reader and enjoy reading if you consider to read this book!!!

Summary: What first got me into Anne McCaffrey
Review: This was the first book I've read by Anne McCaffrey, and I loved it. That led to reading every single other bit of Anne McCaffrey's stuff that I could get my hands on. I've since read around 12 of her books. Menolly's character is wonderful, and her struggle to be who she is, not who she's wanted to be, is delightful. A must read.

Summary: Menolly loves her music and wants to become a harper
Review: Menolly is just like me when I was young. But Iwanted to act, not tune. I would of done anything to act. Just like menolly wanted to become a harper and was willing to do anything to do so. This is a book that everyone should read! It's a must!!! It's a winner to me and my whole class!

Summary: Music, victory against cicumstances, redemption - all here.
Review: I have read this trilogy about a dozen times. Whenever I need a short vacation, Menolly's story is just the ticket. Her love of music, denied by her hidebound father - her love for the Fire Lizards, expressed at impression and in song, her redemption from a self-imposed exile into a more tolerant society, all serve to entertain, inspire and cleanse. I too, a 44 year old male, cry when Masterharper Robinton offers Menolly his gitar (that's how they spell it) and then wisks her away to... but that would be telling... read the book. If you are not too jaded, I am sure you will grow to appreciate even love this story as much as I have. I found the second book to be a great romp through music. The third book, while good, is not perfect as are its elder sisters. JRB

Summary: It a well told book, with a great plot to understand.
Review: Menolly is good discribed character that faces the challanges of everyday life on Pern. The Thread is almost the same as acid rain only more distructive. That is why I love the the book Dragonsong.

Summary: Good Book
Review: This was the first Anne McCaffery book I'd ever read and after I became a loyal reader. I picked it up used and finished it the same day. I admit I cried. Even though I don't usually read books of this age level I enjoyed it and soon started to read the Dragonriders of Pern.

Summary: Dragon Song was the best book I've ever read!
Review: When I read this book, I was thinking that it would never become my favorite. But I found that I was smiling and laughing at good parts, and enjoying the firelizard stories. I actually felt for Menolly, and all the other characters. (except for Yanus.)
