Summary: A Can't Put down book
Review: This is an amazing book. It has a great plot line and you can't put the book down. You feel as if you are in the land of Xanth when you are reading this book. The only problem with ethe book is the dual plot line between Kim and Dug. Everyother chapter alternates between them when they get together. It is quite annoying because you begin to favor one of the characters and get annoyed having to read the chapter with the other. It is a great book though if you enjoy fantasy and a must read

Summary: Can't put it down!!
Review: This is one of the best books I have read. I have read all of the Xanth series and this stands out by far. I usually read a book once and that is the end of it. But I actually read this book THREE times. Piers Anthony has the character's go to all the places that experienced Xanth readers are familar with while explaining them for the new reader. Whether you have read all of his books or are just starting out, this is DEFINITELY the book for you. Enjoy

Summary: Excellent Book!!!
Review: This is the first book I ever read in the Xanth series. It compelled me to read any Xanth book I could find. The books are great! They tell all about a magical land that I have always dreamed about. I also like reading about the way the author depicts Mundania, the world we live in. He talks about how there is no magic here. Yet, when a magical creature takes a journey here, science is depicted as magic that Xanth does not have. I can relate to how Arnolde the centaur in this book is kicked away from his kind. It's sad in this way.

This book got me hooked on peirs anthony books and I can't miss one of them. Kim and Dug were ingenius. The plot intrigued me with such great force, i couldn't put it down. The dangerous world of fun, puns and monsters really came to life for me in this book.

Summary: Great!!!!!!
Review: This was a great book, it was my first Xanth book, and if your new to the series, it explains the reasons for the puns, and the weirdness, because there is characters in it from Mundania (here), and they constantly need explinations, and background histories on things.

Summary: This was a really good book.
Review: This was the first Xanth book I read and it is a very good book. I think Anthony over uses the puns alittle and it was a very sexist book but overall it was fairly well written. I did like the characters and the plot was at fairly fast-paced...

Summary: Wonderful
Review: What a fantastic book. I was in the screen long before Dug. This is my first Piers book, though not first fantacy (I also love a good science fiction) and I am so very glad that Amazon recommended it.

I'm not even finished with the book. I don't want to finish it, I do want to finish it, I want to get right into another Piers', what a story line.

I can't wait to finish it so I can get another. I'm going to read the whole series. Does anyone suggest the next book to read?

And, I see where someone from Interlaken, NY is wishing there was a computer game to the book, well, jesper_81@mailcity.com says that there is--Companions of Xanth. I'm going to get it also.

Well, back to the book every chance I get. I wonder how Dug will discover that his lovely princess is now a False Companion. I'm glad she didn't touch the water of the stream of consciuosness so the plot can "thicken".

I love it.
