Summary: The worst of all Xanth books
Review: I started reading the Xanth series about 15 years ago, and this is by far the cheesiest of the series. Putting the characters into a computer struck me as a dim attempt at humoring the already two dimensional characters in the Xanth stories. The teenage girl dwells on a boy who is none too bright, and the sexual innuendos in this story just get a bit tiring. The only reason I could possibly think of for reading this book at all is to provide more loose-end tie-ups to the Xanth series as a whole...because most of the later Xanth books refer to things that happen in earlier novels. I am sure this one will come into play in later novels, somehow.

Summary: If you read it and didn't give a 10, you're CRAZY!!!!!!
Review: I thought DEMONS DON'T DREAM was an excellent book!! It is my fav out of all the other Xanth novels and I've read them all!! I've read it over 10 times and every time it just gets better!! I just want to say, Piers you've done it again!! MAN FROM MUNDANIA is another must read!!

Summary: This Book Was GREAT!
Review: I thought that this book was the best one of the series. I was even more pleased when I found out that there was a real Xanth companions game! I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: More of the same drivel.
Review: It took me about five years, but I finally realized how bad Piers Anthony's writing is. The Xanth series is basically the same story over and over again, with names changed around and serial numbers filed off. If you've read one, you've read them all, and they really aren't any good. The characters are flat and 2-d, the plots are kindergarten level, and there's so much better stuff out there. If you're looking for humor fantasy, go pick up something by Terry Pratchett

Summary: Demons Don't Dream is the Punniest book I have ever read!
Review: Like all Xanth novels, Demons Don't Dream is full of puns. With witty things from streams of consciousness to outstupiding ogres, the book had me rolling on the ground with laughter with every page. I recommend this book for not only fantasy readers but any reader who likes a good laugh. You follow two Mundanians as they go through a game called the Companions of Xanth, which is actually much, much more than a game...

Summary: Fantasy version of Interactive Programming
Review: Once again we get to visit Xanth. A fun world filled with puns that makes you want to just keep reading. this time two kids from Mundania compete for a magic prize. While playing this game, Xanth becomes real to them. If you want some reality in your fantays world, look elsewhere. If you like this book, you will just love the earlier books in the series.

Summary: another winner
Review: One of the best in Piers Anthony's excellent Xanth series, and his first for Tor books. This is one of my favorites from the series, but still contains several puns so awful I have to wince, even after the 15 or so other books I've read in this series filled with them. The difference is, with this one, the characters comment on the awfulness of the puns.

Summary: Blah, blah, blah
Review: Piers Anthony has done it again! And again! And again! I'm wondering if he's actually writing the new books, or if he has some kind of program to change the names and the situations slightly. I loved the first book, and the second one was okay, but after that I could read these books in my sleep. I have read (an unfortunately paid for) all the Xanth books up to this one, and this will be my last purchase in the series. Piers, if you're out there buddy - trilogy means 3, and this series should have stopped there. On the other hand, the Incarnations of Immortality series is quite good (Piers - how about a book about Nox?), and I liked the first 3 books of the "Split Infinity" series (yes, I know that's not the right name), but I can't take another cookie-cutter, smarmy, poorly-turned pun story from Xanth. If I have to, I'll move back to Mundania!!

Summary: A Piers Anthony Pleasure
Review: Piers Anthony has done it again...amazed me with yet another spectacular read. Surprised? Of course not! This is Xanth! I just finished reading this book, as I'm reading all of Xanth straight through now instead of scattered as I previously have. This book stands out as one of the best books I've ever read, taking a standard well-loved plot and putting a new twist to it. It brings out the child in us all, while still maintaining a tad bit of adult humor. Well done, Piers. Keep it up!
