Rating: Summary: Skookum Review: I thought the book was really skookum because the author, T.A. Baron, is very descriptive when he writes. He makes you feel like your seeing a movie in your mind. He has excellent words that educate me on every page. When he described the setting it sounded like it was a real place. I think anybody who likes sorcery, Harry Potter, or whoever just wants to read a good book, should read The Lost Years of Merlin.
Rating: Summary: Aaron ... Review: I wanted to choose a book that was exiting adventurous, and makes you feel that you are right there next to the characters as they are fighting the bad guys . The Lost Years of Merlin is just that kind of book. It took me two weeks to read this book because I am kinda one of those slow people. If you liked this book you shoud read the other Merlin books by: T.A Barron, they are also realy good. It took me a wile but Iread all of them. I hope you like this book : }
Rating: Summary: This Book Rocks!! Review: I picked up this book out of pure curiosity. I had never before had any interest in Merlin or Camelot, but was instantly sucked into this magical world. The characters are well developed and the the story is plausible. All together the book is a captivating story of magic, self-discovery and self-worth.
Rating: Summary: not as good as i expected though still amazing Review: merlin was an amazing book but not nearly as good as i expected. this is a touching begining to merlin's life.you're garunteed to enjoy merlin!
Rating: Summary: Lost Years of Merlin Review Review: The young boy who washes to shore, burns his eyes, and washed up again goes through a series of events that teach him about the mysterious land of Fincayra.
Rating: Summary: Luke, I am your father Review: I was very satisfied with the beginning of the book, the myth that she created was wonderful, the description was beautiful, but this book fell short in the end. I know I'm not the only one who got a sense of deja vu at the ending. It smacked of The Black Cauldron series as well as a little Star Wars cliche. The "horned king" (we'll just call him that because I don't remember his real name) pulls a "Luke, I am your father" all the while on a Deathstar-like fortress with only one fatal flaw. I just wished that she had come up with something original.
Rating: Summary: Extrodinary Review: T.A. Barron puts a extrodinary details and insights into these books and sheeds light on the famous myth of Merlin. These books are very interesting to read no matter what age because of the emotional values in the book and the suspense in the problems being faced by Merlin as a young teenager.
Rating: Summary: Many thanks Review: This book is what i've been looking for. Finally a fantasy with some adventure. A book with consequeces and rewards. I have not much else to say except many thanks to T.A. Barron.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Lost... without a true home a or mother... unable to remember his past... Merlin, called Emrys, ses out on a quest to find his past.His quest takes him to the enchanted island of Fincayra, a place where he finds more than his name and past...
Rating: Summary: A Great Series (This is for the whole series) Review: The Lost Years Of Merlin series is about a 7 year old boy named Emrys who gets amnesia causing him to remember nothing from his past. He goes on a journey to a place called Fincayra to find out who he really is. On his journey he unlocks great power, and meets many friends and foes. Some of the friends he meets are Shim,Rhia, and Trouble. Some foes he meets are Stangmar, and Rhita Gawr. The great thing about the series is that you don't always know what will happen next, you can always get a picture in your mind of the what he's describing, you start to feel like some of the characters in the book, and it's funny. I strongly recommend, The Lost Years Of Merlin, The Seven Songs Of Merlin, The Fires Of Merlin, The Mirror Of Merlin and The Wings Of Merlin to everyone who likes fantasy,humor and\or action.
