Summary: I love this book!
Review: This is such a wonderful book. I love this author in general, but this is EXCELLENT! True, it may scare off many teenage readers, like my 7th grade classmates, because of the seriousness, or "un-coolness", but if you are an actual reader, and enjoy reading, (my "book-budjet" is about three a week), like me READ THIS. One warning to middle-school age kids: prepare to be made fun of. It's worth it though. T.A. Barron uses language seldom seen in young adult books (although sometimes young adult books aren't that great to begin with) and wisely places the center of his plot on predictions with hidden meanings. Once again, READ THIS! read it read it read it read it. . .

Summary: Better then Harry Potter!
Review: This book was the most exciting book I've ever read. When I guessed what was going to happen next I was always wrong the next thing that happened was always more exciting, creative and excilerating. This book was far more BETTER then Harry Potter!

Summary: I hope you're planning to lose touch with reality.
Review: This is an awesome book, better then Harry Potter or any other story. Like I said though, only read it of you want to fully lose touch w/ reality. I mean friends, family, teachers, important jobs, exc. My favorite character personally is Emrys himself, then Rhia. And to all of you who think it is unoriginal, if you would take the time to READ the author's note, it explains this is a prequel and it is hooked on to all the other stories of Merlin, therefore it has to have the same places (ya think?) I'm looking forward to reading the others, and seeing im only thirteen, this book proves to be terrific for any age.

Summary: Wonderfully Written
Review: This book is a definite favorite of mine. You just want more. The writing was wonderful, and I found the characters well developed and interesting. My favorite part, however, was the entrancing plot, which keeps you hooked from the very begining. I recommend this book to anyone out there with a taste for fantasy.

Summary: A great book, recommend it highly.
Review: Slow start but don't give up! Thrilling from middle to end. Chararters are well created. Great idea to show Merlin growing up. Merlin's anger and unknown past overwhelms him. Need to read the series to see how Merlin grows up and deals with what overwhelms him.

Summary: Simply Brilliant
Review: Praise T.A. Barron for this mythodical genius of a piece of writting. T.A. Barron is a writting wizard of this era. If you are not interested in brilliant mythology, you will be after you have read this book. I recommend this book to anyone whose imagination can soar like a hawk.

Summary: A thrilling edition to the already legendary myth of Merlin*
Review: As an avid reader of all Merlin books, I found this book highly enjoyable. Although each version of his tale varies, as with "Lost Years", it was fun to think of his life before he became the best known wizard in the world, to imagine how he became so great at the art of magic. Anyone with a taste for magic should read these books.

Summary: A very moving and exciting book
Review: I highly enjoyed this book and I believe many children will as well. This book tells about the story of Merlin as a young boy,the differences he had with the place he lived, and his journey to seek out his destiny. I recommend this book to any one who enjoys legends and King Arthur.
