Rating: Summary: An excellent and consuming book Review: This book sparked my interest in dragons and science fiction. I enjoyed the fact that the main characters were teenagers and a young dragon, and that a bond of love developed between them. I also liked the author's descriptions of dragon science.
Rating: Summary: Fascinating, a book you must never just pass by. Review: It was one of those trilogies that I could not stop reading till I was finished with it. I think it was an excellent book. Very realistic, and filled with adventures and experiences that anyone like me would like to have. I also admire how Jakkin is different from others, and his independent character. Also Akkiand her knowledge of curing people even though she is not a doctor like Doctor Henkky. This is a highly recommended book.
Rating: Summary: I recommend this excellent book Review: I like this book because it tells you about a life of a boy who steals a dragons egg from his masters work.awaiting this new born dragon is a lovely oasis which this boy Jakkin has been preparing for years. He stumbles across this oasis while walking to the funeral of his father who was killed by a feral dragon in the desert. He tells no one of this secret oasis, not even his best friends slakk and Erriken. His master Likkarn hates him because he can read even though his master can write. He plans on stealing this egg soon because the mother dragons have just had them,he plans to steal them the next day.If you want to know more, read the book and that is why I highly recommend this book to people who like fantasy.
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best books that I have ever read. Review: I really enjoyed reading this because of it's excitement. It really made me think about our intelligence and how it relates to that of other animals in the world. The dragon's commentary was very funny and lightened the serious mood. To summarize it in one word, SPLAT !
Rating: Summary: memorable... Review: I read this book back so many years ago in early elementary school. It really impacted me; the storyline, the flow, the character, the imagery. It's one of the great books that started it all for me, that I will remember always.
Rating: Summary: This book was excellent! Review: My favorite parts were "pit fighting" and the Drakk hunt. If you like adventure, you will like this book.
Rating: Summary: Great book... Review: This is one of those books that it really easy to read because of the great suspence. You will defintally will want it to your list of reading it you like books that deal with dragons. It is really neat how they talk about the human and dragon communication and how they can heal each other. I won't go on, because you should read the book to find out more!
Rating: Summary: Pit Dragons trilogy are the best of Jane's many great books. Review: My favorite part about this book, is that Jane Yolen writes about dragons as if they were real creatures. Telling about anatomy and habits. She writes as if everything were fact through the book, you feel it really exists. Jakkin will be loved after only a few sentences about him, and so will his dragon, Heart's Blood, and his friend, Akki, who is wise beyond her years. Jakkin trains Heart's Blood to be a fighter, Akki helps him. This book is sometimes serious, and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny.
Rating: Summary: describing and imformitive Review: This book was cool. The book tells about a boy risking his life to steal and harbor a dragon. This book is suspensfull and touching.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: Jane Yolen's "Dragon's Blood" is an incredibly good book. The concept of pit dragons is original and interesting, as well as the idea of dragons living on another planet. Kudos for the Drakk, one of the more interesting monsters I've read about. I can't wait to read the sequel.
