Summary: The best book ever!!!!!
Review: Hi!! I am a 14 year old girl, and I want to say that I have read a lot of books, and this is my absolute favorite. I am a sci-fi fantasy lover, and when I picked up this book, I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on me. I was in advanced literature class one day, and I guess I had just finished a test or something, because I was bored. So I began looking at my teacher's books. I picked up the hero and the crown, decided it looked okay, and started reading it. I was immediatly intrueged, so when the period was over, I asked my teacher if I could borrow. She said yes, and after that I never put it down. I bought it and The Blue Sword, and I don't even know how many times I have read it!

Summary: Best ever!!
Review: I am 14 years old, and in my life, I have read a LOT of books. I avrege a book a day, sometimes two. I first picked up this book at school last friday. All through first block, I read it. I couldn't put it down! Okay, this happins with a lot of books, but still, I couldn't get it out of my head. I finally finished it eather at recess or second block, but anyhow, I then just left it in the school library, and commenced reading the companion novel, The Blue Sward. It was just as good, but all weekend, I couldn't get my mind off this book! THat had never happened to me very often! It was a three day weekend, but I couldn't wait for school to start so I could get this book back, and that's saying a lot, considering that this was finals week. Finally, on Tuesday, I got to school extra early, but the school librarian didn't come untill after the bell had rung. Finally, they had to unlock it for computer lab, and I was able to sneek in and smuggle the book out. So far, I have read the whole thing four times, and certain parts I've gone back and read again, for example, the scene at the Lake of Dreams. Anyone ever figure out what Luthe ment by that "really bad bargin"? If you have any opinion whatsoever on anything at all, mail me. Oh, and I really didn't mean to go off like that about my personal life, I just wanted to say something and didn't really have anything to say. However, this is a wonderfull book, you should reccomend it to everyone you meet, and it really deserved the Newbery Medel that it won. As soon as I get some money from my parents, I am going to buy this wonderful book, so I can read it everyday and loan it to my freinds.

Summary: MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BOOK
Review: I can't even begin to explain how much I love this book. The way McKinley tells it is so wonderful...it's like a fairy tale for an older audience. It has everything in it. After a while I completely forgot my surroundings and couldn't tear myself away from this book. I didn't sleep at all the night I started reading this book, because I couldn't put the book down. The story is so pretty and flowing. I have to admit that I too, cried when I read this book . I love the way this book is written. The descriptions are perfect and the way the story is told...I can't even begin to describe it. It...I guess you could say it gave me a sense of wonder. For me it was one of those books where you keep thinking about the book long after you've already finished reading it. It stays with you. I felt a sense of satisfaction after reading it. It's so hard to explain just how great this book was. I DEFINETLEY recommend it!

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: Just today I finished reading The Hero and The Crown. It took me only 2 days. It is one of those books you can't put down, but you have to force yourself to stop and think about, just so you don't miss anything. I loved it. I tried reading it before, but I never finished. I wish I had kept going. Just think of what I've been missing all this time....

Summary: The Hero and the Crown was an inspirational book!
Review: I loved the book. I felt inspired by the portrayal of Aerin. McKinley portrays Aerin as an ambitious character that achieves what she sets out for. I recommend this book to anyone that wants to be inspired to do something!

Summary: Excellent at the begining, but a lame ending
Review: When I started this book, at ten pages in I was captivated and thrilled to find a book that so fit my taste. From my point of view the middle was excellent. But I hated the end. It was seriously, seriously lame. I think that McKinley was trying to meet a dead line instead of writing a book. I'm 12 and have never published anything in my life but I can write a better ending.
