Rating: Summary: Suspense Review: This book was the best but I suggest not reading it if you have not read the other two books Among the Hidden and Among the Imposters (read Among the hidden first then read Amnong the Imposters). In this book third children are illegal because food is getting scarce. Some parents have third child and one girl by the name Elodie has to get a fake I.D. just to go on the streets and every fake I.D. comes with a fake name so the Population Police(the people who will kill you if they find out your a third child)won't find. So Elodie gets a fake I.D. and her new name is Nina Idi.Well any the story begins with Nina in a cell because the Population Police find her. First she thinks it was all a dream but sadly it wasn't, a man walks in her cell giving her a deal. To betray kids. She figures out that the kids have some secrets and that the whole thing was a set up. I loved this book because it makes so many twists and turns. Find out how Nina excapes with the kids she rescuse.
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!! Review: This book was, in my opinion, one of the best in the "Among the Hidden" Series. Although, they're all awesome books! I suggest reading them all and any other books that come out in this series also.
Rating: Summary: THIs is a great book Review: This is the third book in the Shadow Children series. The first two focused on Luke (now called Lee Grant). The main character in this book is Nina, who we last saw being hauled away by the Population Police at the end of book 2. We were led to believe that Nina was a spy at the Harlow girls' school looking to identify third (shadow) children. It turns out that Nina is a third child herself and was not a spy at all.
She was brought to the Population Police prison where she is beaten and told to confess to falsely accusing kids of being shadow children. Nina doesn't know what they are talking about.
She is told that she will be executed unless she helps the Population Police get confessions from 3 shadow children they are holding in their prison. Nina is to gain their confidence and get them to give her the information the Police want.
Nina is faced with a moral dilemma. She can't cause the death of others but if she doesn't, she herself will be killed.
From the rest of the story on, the reader can figure out that things aren't what they really seem. This is because Nina and the kids escape too easily and seem to be able to get to a location they shouldn't know how to get to. That is why I don't consider this book as good as the first two, but it is still ok for the continuance of Haddix's tale of a future that echoes of Nazi Germany.
Rating: Summary: almost as good as its companians Review: this truly amazing book has a wonderful but wierdly twisted (i hope that wets your apetite) story line. it was one of the greatest books! it has plenty of action and an amazing, thrilling story line! enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: this is a great book Review: You have read the book Among the Betrayed. I think it is the best out of all three in the Among the Hidden series. If you liked the other two you will like this one. If you don't read the other two then you probably be lost through parts of this book. I hope you read this excellent book. I have been telling you that this is an excellent book but not why so I'm going to tell you why. In the book the main character is Nina. She has been convicted of being a third child in a world where you can only have two. Now she is given a choice. She can betray three children or die. Of course she chooses to betray. As she spends time with these children she finds it hard to betray them. Time starts to run out. She has twenty-four hours. A guard is poisoned and she grabs his keys while nobody is looking. Another man takes her to her cell, but he doesn't have the right key for it so leaves her there and locks there exit door. It is time to make her decision what will she do. I geuss you will have to read the book to find out
