Rating: Summary: excellant! Review: this was very good. the changing perspective made it all the better. I loved it. I recommend it to readers who appreciate fantasy.
Rating: Summary: Yuck Yuck Yuck Yuck Yuck!!!! Review: What went wrong? What was up with that whole four horsemen thing? Why did a good series have to end so badly? Take my advice... read the first three books, then make up your own ending!!!
Rating: Summary: For all fiction fans Review: When I read the previous three books from "The Heritage of Shannara" I simply couldn't wait for this sequel to appear. I read it in about two days and when I finished i was a bit disappointed. Everything was great except the end. Pages and pages of fantastic adventures only to come to an end that deffinitively doesn't suit the rest of the book. After such exciting events the end should have been a bit more dynamic and exciting in order to mmatch the rest of the story. The explanation was simply a bit lame. Still, I would recommend this book to everyone because it is really worth reading and if you don't like the end just make one up.

Rating: Summary: They all come back to settle the score! Review: Wren, Walker, and Morgan are back and trying to find Coll and Par. Wren with the secret of the Elves. Walker with the magic of the Druids. And Morgan with the Sword of Leah, fixed by Quickening at her death. Par is miss-lead to think that he had killed Coll when Coll is really being held captive at Southwatch. Wren needs help to defend against the army coming from the south, so she searches for the Free-born to help stop them. Walker is held captive in the Druid Keep Parninor by the four horsemen. A great action packed book!
Rating: Summary: The best book you will ever read!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: You can never find a better book then the Talismans of Shannara the epic conclusion to the Heritage of Shannara. It combines all the basic needs for a good fantasy book.
Rating: Summary: Looking for a permanent turn-off from Terry Brooks? Review: You'll find it here. If you've slogged this far through the series, you've had a supply of Terry Brooks to last several lifetimes. What happened to the charm of his first, Sword of Shannara? The epic proportions of this book are just too much. Make the characters human again, please, not just a bunch of pawns who do nothing but suffer. Kudos to arion@aol.com, who has perceptively picked out some of the book's most annoying features. How about a lot of buildup in the first three books, going to waste? How about chapters that jump around from one character to another? It's a literary device necessary for an epic-scale novel, I know, but by the time you reach this book, it's just damn annoying
