Summary: Infuriating Ending
Review: They struggled through all that terrible danger--for *what*?
Their intended treasure--crashed. The company--scattered. Hopefully, things are tied up and explained in Morgawr.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Another masterpiece by Terry Brook. Exploding with action within every page, this book is most definitely an enjoyable novel to savor

Summary: Best climax of all Shannara books
Review: I've waited for over a year for the last book in the series, Morgawr, to come out. The anticipation after I finished Antrax was almost unbearable... I've been a fan of all of Brooks' books (but especially the Shannara stuff) for about 8 years I guess, and Antrax is the best one out of all of them, in my opinion.

I can't really explain it without giving anything away, but this book really brings out the emotions of hardcore Shannara fans. There is a lot of action and excitement, and the climax of the books is top notch. The character development is great, and I love the way the book ended... I'm just happy the next installment is in!

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: ANTRAX:

Antrax was everything I was looking for in a book. Its a timeless story with a lot to like. If you like epic fantasy you are going to love this.

WHAT'S BEST:

Terry Brooks has really come into his own in this trilogy. I've enjoyed reading about Shannara over the years but the early books weren't of this caliber. If you've never read Terry Brooks, start with ISLE WITCH, read ANTRAX and then go on to MOGAWR. If your as happy as I am you'll go back and read Brooks earlier works.

RECOMMENDED?

Yes, highly. Good plot and characters.

Summary: Favorite on Fire!!!
Review: Terry Brooks is my favorite author. I have read him since 1987 when I went backeast for a wedding. He also wrote The Sword of Shannara in 1977, the year I was born. I have always loved to read him.
IN ANTRAX, Brooks continues the journey of Bek Ohmsford, who has learned he has the power of the Wishsong. He has confronted his sister, Grianne (aka The Isle Witch). The Isle witch is questioning her very existence. Walker has found himself trapped below the ruins of Castledown, and cannot find his way out. Ahren Ellessidel is alone and running scared. The Seer Ryer Ord Star, who is she? What does she mean to the party from Arborlorn? The Rovers, Rue Meridian and her brother Big Red, what has happened to them, with the Jerle Shannara pluummeting towards a watery grave? Quentin Leah, he has gone in search of Bek, but finds it may be harder than he ever thought.
Such a number of twisting plots to an already awesome story. The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara, Antrax will take readers to an even higher level of fantasy and as it says in many other reviews, will leave you hanging,(and drooling) for the third installment, Morgawr, in which the final confrontation between the Isle Witch and her mentor The Morgawr, will determine the fate of the Four Lands and beyond.

Summary: Stupid cliffhangers!
Review: I've read the entire Shannara series since I was introduced to The Sword of Shannara two years ago, in high school. I read the last book in the series, Isle Witch, last year. Luckily for me, Antrax was released about a week after I finished it.
I just finished this book last night, and I cursed Terry Brooks and his evil, evil tendency to write cliffhangers. He gave me four or five different cruel cliffhangers to chew on, and I felt ready to destroy something! I HAVE to know how this ends!! I eagerly await the release of Morgawr in September.
The book was very absorbing, just like the rest of the Brook's books, and I found it very easy using my imagination to imagine the world they were in. That's the nice thing about Terry Brook's writing - he's so descriptive.
Long live the Sword of Shannara!

Summary: Outstanding!!!
Review: Terry Brooks does it again.

Fascinating epic of the continuing saga of the heirs of Shannara. Terry Brooks introduces a new cast of characters that have been well developed leaving the reader with a sense of kinship to them all.

If there is a downside to the book, it would be that it mirrors too closely "the Matrix". To the Shannara fan, I do not feel that it takes anything away from the book, but I do believe that, to the new Shannara reader, it may act as a hinderance to those who will feel that the plot is a "poor imitation".

All in all the book is magical. The reader will be transported to another world. There is a part of each of us in every character. I highly recommend it.

Summary: A different book
Review: Unlike his previos books, Brooks delves into science fiction with the creation of a machine known as antrax (no, not the poisonous powder). Following the story of Bek Rowe Brooks explores the remenants of castledown, a city from the past which posseses a magic which Walker, the druid, believes will help restore the druid counsel. With an interesting twist, the mission to Castledown is followed by the Isle Wich who has some unknown connection with Bek.

With the second installment in this series, Brooks continues his fantastic writing. I definately recommned this book.

Summary: Mr
Review: I liked this book, but I thought it jumped about a bit. I liked the first one better because it was mysterious and felt almost magical, with the cover as it was. This book on the other hand felt more like a filler and not a book to carry on an actual story.I would like to see how the witch becomes a druid in the next book and if they are going to find something worth while or did they just go there, to the island, to die?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great read.
Review: My only complaint about this book is that it is too short! I was having such a great time reading it that I didn't want it to finish.
I'd have to say this is Brooks best book to date. Very easy read that continues to draw you back for more. I found myself going home for lunch to read more than eat.
Truly enjoyable with characters you feel for, I felt very involved in this book.
I would definitely recommend this book. Buy it, now!
