Summary: It was a pretty good book.
Review: Martian Chronicles was a good and interesting science fiction novel. It touched on many controversial subjects from here on Earth, and portrayed a vivid picture of life on Mars.My favorite story from the book was "Green Morning". I liked how it showed how things from Earth acted differently on Mars. It was detailed and painted a good mental picture.

Summary: This was the weirdest book!
Review: Ray bradbury's book, The Martian Chronicles, was a complicated book. It was hard to read because nothing tied together, and every story was left with out an end. I understood it but never really liked it that much. Each individual chapter was terrific that is why I gave it any stars at all! The chapters made since but I just hoped that somehow they would eventually tie it all up together. Summary: Good for Treki-fans, but a little boring for the rest of us
Review: This book was an interesting blend of descriptive writing and science-fiction. It draws you in by the way it shows the martians lives. The descriptions did get a little tiresome. My favorite story was USHER II. It gave a lot of action, and suspense. I guess that's just what I like. The story I liked the least was AND THE MOON BE STILL AS BRIGHT. It dragged on too long and lost my interest after the first page. I could definately see how some people could love this book, but even though I liked some parts, as a whole I thought it was a bit of a snooze.

Summary: Martian Cronicles is older book with many newer age ideas.
Review: I thought Martian Cronicles was a more basic book with many extreme ideas for its time.. Space exploration was an unknown. He had revolutionary thoughts of what the future to bring. I was surprized how well the the short stories, all being written at different times.had flowed together. Bradbury must have had a great idea of where he wanted to end up. I think the my overall opinion is that anyone who likes Sci-fi books should pick up this classic set of shortstories and give them a try......

Summary: Human Traits Fiction or Not
Review: In the book Martian Chronicles Ray Bradbury looks at human traits and brings to life just how bad or sometimes good we can be. The book is a sci-fi book and it is very realistic with how we act, but maybe not with how somethings happen. For instance in the story Way up in the air a large group of African americans go to Mars. This angers all the white people back home and human prejudice is really shown through. I enjoyed the story and felt it depicts are small seed of evil in all of us. In the story Green morning a very good man Mr. Driscoll plants trees on Mars and goes to sleep, only to find that all have grown over night. Here we see a human doing something good for everyone and that is rare.

Summary: It was aveage, that's all.
Review: "Martian Chronicles" is an average book. It isn't something I would read for personal enjoyment, but I didn't really mind reading it as a class assignment. It had a lot of original ideas and a weird twist that made you want to keep reading. The class discussions based on the concepts of the stories were interesting and actually got my class in some heated debates. My least favorite chapter was "Ylla". As the first basic chapter of the book I thought it should have been more interesting. It made me not want to read the rest of the book. It was too confusing and boring. Thankfully, the rest of the book got better as it went on. My favorite chapter was "Usher II". This chapter had me turning the pages as fast as I could. It gave the book a bit of a horror novel twist. I would reccomend this book for a class assignment, but that's about all.

Summary: Martian Encounters
Review: Martian Chronicles was an enjoyable and entertaining book. It made me look at the way things lived differently from they way I do. Even though the book got boring at times, it still grabbed my attention enough to finsih it. One chapter I dont believe kept my interest very well was The Silent Towns. It didn't really go along with the story too well. Walter Gripp and Genevive may have been the last two on the planet but the chapter after that had people living once again. The whole deal about Walter not liking her for her bringing the wedding dress didn't really make sense it was more because of her personality and looks. The chapter that I like the most was Way in The Middle of The Air. I liked the whole situation where Silly and all the other blacks took a stand for what they believed in and left for Mars. It just gave s sensation of how people are prejudice and that the slaves didn't deserve the treatment and weren't going o take it any longer. For those who read this review keep in mind that this is only my oppinion and you dont have to agree with it. I enjoyed the book for the most part but then again it lagged here and there. Jeni

Summary: This book could have been a short story and not a novel...
Review: The stories in the book "Martian Chronicles", are okay, but they all say the same thing. They are all about a group of people going to Mars, someone going nuts, and killing everyone. My favorite short story in this book is was "Usher II" It was exciting and interesting, but on the other hand, the one i hated the most was "The Earth Man". The reason i disliked "The Earth Man" was because by the fourth short story, I knew that every story is about the same thing. I think that the book could have been better if the stories weren't so similar. Overall, i would have not read this book if it was not required for me to do so.

Summary: Find a book that satisfies your interests.
Review: I wasn't really in to the book at first, so it was hard to follow. I liked the way the people and surroundings were described, but it seems like it took the describing as far as were I couldn't even understand it. I'm really not a fan of books, but when I have to read them, it's nice to read a book that interests me, and catches my eye. The story that seemed most enticing to me was, Way up in the middle of the air. I was able to follow, and understand the meaning of this story. I liked the way it described the river of blacks on their mission to leave earth. I like the non-fiction books better than the fiction, because they seem more real. They are also able to give me more of a mental picture, and it's easier to follow something that has happened to me or ever could happen to myself. I would reccomend this book to someone who likes fiction and easily follows descriptive books, for people like myself I wouldn't reccomend it: thats only my opinion.

Summary: The book was not very interresting or good
Review: At the very begining of the book, Rocket Summer and Ylla, I thought I would be very interested. They are in good detail. The story kept me wanting to read more. It wasn't until I read The Summer Night that I started to think the book was not for me. From that point on I have to say I was not wanting to read the book. Every thing seemed so far fetched. Especially the bee gun. I like science fiction books but books that are more realistic. That is just a few of my thoughts. I'm not saying you will not enjoy this book. I just don't know anyone who does.
