Summary: Best of the series!
Review: I don't understand the slew of mediocre reviews that have come before. This is BY FAR the very best of the Ender Quartet! The Chinese characters are great, and the story on Lusitania is advanced nicely!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: OK sequel
Review: It wasn't as brilliant as the first two, but pretty good still. A bit too long, and the bit where the other Peter and Val come around is really just a waste of my time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Brillian! But not AS brilliant.
Review: If this book wasn't a follower to the great ENDERS GAME and the even greater SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD then I would of given it 10. It is a really really great book the only problem is compared to the other 2 it is a little slow. But the story is actually far trickier and well woven than the other two. And JUST when you think that the Ender Wiggen saga is about to end- a plot twist sets the stage for a sequel! I just can't wait. Orson Scott Card is one of the best!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Poor sequel to "Ender" & "Speaker For The Dead"
Review: Card no longer wants to tell a story, rather he wants to preach to his audience. Instead of plot there are endless pages of bad, stilted, artificial, "philosophical" dialog that has nothing in common with the way people really talk. I'm terribly disappointed with Card & this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good link between stories.
Review: First off, Xenocide is a very wishy-washy novel. Card really jumps around A LOT with the characters and their motivations, but, it must be understood that Xenocide is simply a bridge between "Speaker" and "Children of the Mind." Obviously Card had too big a story to condence into one novel and wanted his readers to witness the slow development of his characters first-hand. The Ender books are certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but anyone with a good taste for human-based speculative-fiction won't be disappointed if they take the time to read all four. All great fiction must be read and re-read to be appreciated. There. I've said it.

Summary: It was a great book ,but not as powerful as the first two.
Review: It was a real good book ,but didn't have the same push as the first two. Ender's game and speaker for the dead had more of a cut right to the chase then xenocide. I liked xenocide and recommend it for anyone ,but is not quite as good as a expected.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A theological/philosophical view into humanity
Review: Ender's Game was cool, Speaker for the Dead gave some interesting views into the problems with studying an alien race without changing them, but Xenocide tops them all. I am most impressed with this book because of the amount of work Card must have put into thinking of all the philosopy behind this. I myself spend much time thinking of things just like this, and I was amasingly impressed by this. I can't wait to finnish the saga, and I hope the rumored movie is as good as the series. Kudos to you Card.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Card delivers a masterful book of sciece and ethics.
Review: Xenocide, like Speaker for the Dead, is a brilliant science fiction book for someone who is tired of cataclysmic battles and stock characters. Card continues to paint brilliantly human characters who must grapple not only with formidable scientific and political challenges, but with the ethics of their work. The science, while definitely fictional, is not hidden but presented to the reader as a process of discovery, and Card continues to delight readers by showing that, yes, he has foreshadowed everything all along. Parts of Enders Game that you never understood will now make sense. Buy this entire series and read it; it's the most intelligent science fiction since Foundation.

Summary: Intriguing and Marvelous
Review: The book, Xenocide, by Orson Scott Card is the third in the sieris. The setting is on the planet Lusitania and the world Path. Ender and the other creatures try to stop the fleet sent to deystroy them. The creatures must find a way to stop the deadly virus called Desolatia. Can the people and creature solve the problems.

Summary: Not a great sequel
Review: If you liked "Ender's Game" and "Speaker for the Dead", don't read "Xenocide". If you didn't read them, get them first, and then don't read Xenocide".ý It's not that "Xenoside" is so bad. I guess many SF writers would like to write such a book. But It is still nothing like the first two books in the series, and it kinds of diminish their memory in the mind. In some ways it is like the sequels to Herbert's "Dune": too much symbolism and philosophy, especially religious philosophy (which in my opinion is the worst kind in a SF book), but without the brilliant plot and ideas. ý There are too many characters, some of them which do not have any justification, and some which behave in ýan arbitrary and unexplained way. As in Card's other not-so-good books, there are too many elements of soap opera. The end is even more open than in the two previous books, which probably means that Card plans another sequel, probably even worst. There really should be a law against sequels to great books!ý
