Summary: I rate this book low because it didn't have a naturl flow.
Review: I would rate this dook low becuase although it had one or two exciting parts the majority of the book was confusing or the auther would stay with one topic too long which would cause the flow of the book to be disrupted. In this book Douglas Spaulding , a 12 year old boy , that has to deal with many hardships. Which are , his grandmother dieing , his best friend moving away and to him the end of summer. He does has is highpoints too , for example he discovers many ideas that he thinks he has thought up of on his own. Some of those ideas were , that older people were never young or when the authour decribes how Doug feels that he is alive. To me that whole statement about becomming alive was a confusing section to me. Finally , I would not recomed this book because the downsides out weighed the interesting parts , but overall if you like Ray Bradbury's work then by all means read the book.

Summary: Confusing but Interesting
Review: I thought this book was confusing, because of the fact that every chapter is different. Also, I think this book is not that elabrate. It doesn't continue telling much detail about events that happen. On the other hand, I like how the book is about the author, Ray Bradbury, and he tells his life in the summer of 1928. I think it is interesting, in that it some parts reflect how I grew up, discovering things or realizing things

Summary: The Ideal Book for Summertime
Review: Even if you didn't grow up in 1928, this book will take you back to your days of childhood summers. I like it because it is not just a lot of sappy summer stories, but many different experiences that spark many different emotions. It's a good book for summer time.

Summary: Nostalgic and beautiful
Review: The first story I ever read from "Dandelion Wine" was the one about Douglas getting his new tennis shoes -- back when I was in third grade it was in our reader. Nowadays, this probably wouldn't mean as much as it did then, since everyone wears tennis shoes (or running shoes or cross-trainers or whatever) pretty much year round, but it meant a lot when I was a kid and transition from "school shoes" to tennis shoes meant summer!

Later I got to read the entire book and I still pick it up from time to time to remember childhood and summer and how it felt to have world enough and time to do anything ... a feeling you lose quickly enough to adulthood. Bradbury's prose is lyrical and magical and evocative and very much a part of the joy of this book.

Summary: This book captured my interest from the beginning.
Review: Ray Bradbury has a unique way of getting young people interested in his work. Although it was a little confusing at the beginning, the book became easier to understand and enjoy. This is the first book by Bradbury that i have read and I am sure it wont be the last!

Summary: Quite simply, one of the finest books ever written.
Review: While simply relating the events of one summer in the life of one ordinary boy, Bradbury's prose reads like the purest fantasy. Every word in Dandelion Wine, every mundane action is suffused with genuine magic, and that magic is the exquisite vitality of life itself. I have been an avid reader my entire life (23 years), but never have I fallen so deeply in love with a book as I did with this one. As another reviewer said earlier, I heartily recommend this book to anyone who has a soul.

Summary: This book was interesting yet confusing at times.
Review: I think this book was very interesting and I enjoyed it very much. I liked how the summer of the 1920's was described. In the beginning I thought it was confusing. But once you get into it it's not cofusing at all. I also thought this book was very well described. Everything was described so I could understand it. It was easy for me to understand even though I'm only 12.
