Summary: Read this or you will eternally regret it!
Review: I absolutely loved Speaker for the Dead. I fell in love with Ender in th fourth grade, and Ender's Game cannot possibly compete with this one. Wow. THe plot is so complex, and intelligent, you ind yourself reading the book and thinking 'how could anyone ever invent anyone this real?'. Especially Novinha's children of Libo, and Marcos 'cao' were very vivid. The plot is real and detailed. The writing style is abnormaly fabulous. No human being should miss the oppertunity to read Speaker for the Dead.

Summary: Speaker for the Dead is a great book. Buy it Now!
Review: Speaker for the Dead is great book. I recentely re-read the Ender Saga and was once again surprised by how *real* the characters and story seem, and how easy it is to get emotionally envolved with them. I even cried a little in some parts. Add a great story on top of this, and you get a more than worthy sequel to Ender's Game. Highly reccommended for anyone.

Summary: Excellent and well-written
Review: I enjoyed this book a great deal. I absolutely loved Ender's Game, and although this is a very different novel from Ender's Game, it is just as riveting. The author really stretches the reader's imagination. His characters look and sound so real they just about jump off the page. I have just two criticisms that prevented me from awarding 5 stars - First, I found the religious pontificating a bit much. And lastly, I found that it took me quite a while to distinguish between the many characters. (Ouanda, Olhado, Quim, Quara, Pipo, Libo and Miro.) Luckily the author provided family trees for the characters in the introduction. Another page that I needed to fold down for reference was the page that defined framling, raman and varelse. I'm afraid I'm hooked on this series, so excuse me, I'm off to buy Xenocide to see what happens next!

Summary: it's good....and you know it.
Review: i was kinda turned off at first when i saw all the language use and had the feeling there weren't going to be any more 'battle room' scenes, so at first, i was sceptical. after i got through the first couple chapters and started to understand the story, it got much much better. the characters are very elaborate, the language issue does nothing but enhance, and the story was written expertly. very, VERY nice. at least as good as ender's game, which may be the best sci-fi i've read.

Review: I thought it was even better than Ender's Game

Summary: A wonderful book, certainly worth of a measly few dollars
Review: Gotta love this book. Card is a very good writer, and every one of his books thrilled me all the way to the end. It is totally worth the time to buy and read. Gotta love it.

Summary: UNBELIEVEABLE!
Review: Wow. Thats all I can say! When I read my first book by Mr. Card at 11, Enders Game, I thought I had found the best sci-fi book ever (and I was a sci-fi junkie!). Then, 2 years later I was hunting around for something to read, and I came across Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind. I went crazy. I bought all three, and went home to read them Speaker of the Dead instantly became my favorite book. The beginning, just the first 10 pages, was pretty boring, nothing like Enders Game, but after that I couldn't put it down. All of the characters touched me, especially Miro and Ouanda, Libo and Novinha. The piggies were so wonderful, and their secret was truly worth the wait! This book is worth it's cost one-million-fold, and its sequels only get better. Read!

Summary: I feel that any science fiction fan would love the book.
Review: I liked the book for many reasons. First of all I liked the way He tied the story in to his first book. Second of all I kind of like the "Into" to his chapters I tink that when he has the characters talking it gives you a kind of voice to them. I also like the piggies. I feel that Andrew a.k.a Ender is a very good character and he is the one who will decide the fate of the other races. I also feel that Novana is a fool for marring a man who she never loved.

Summary: Better than Ender's Game
Review: I read this book before Ender's Game. I know its unfair to compare them but like everyone I can't help doing so. I haven't enough depth to really enjoy Xenocide and Children of the Mind. Speaker is the most thought provoking SF ever. All its character is very memorable. The idea is great. When all cyberpunk SF is out of date Speaker will still be enjoyed. It is timeless.
