Summary: Addicting!
Review: I read this book in 40 hours. I totally read it with no reserve. I couldn't put it down. There was absolutely no way. Read this. It was excellent. Card's character's really leave you knowing them and you could place them somewhere. I really reccomend this book. READ IT!

Summary: Uncommonly wonderful sci-fi.
Review: This was a great book in my opinion. It was one of those rare sci-fi books that focus on not only the space battles and laser guns, but other more interesting subjects. The protagonist, Ender, was extremely intelligent. Intelligent characters come from intelligent writers.

Card is a master mind manipulator. He built the story up so well, he even had me fooled in the end. This is one of those books that pulls you in. It creates an atmosphere around your brain so that you are forever lost in the great story telling.

I had to read this book for English II class. About page 20 the words "had to read" turned into "glad to read." This really is a great book, even if you don't like sci-fi. What if you like sci-fi? It's an added bonus! Go out and buy it ASAP!

Summary: One of the best
Review: I first read this book when I was 13. I read it all that day. This book brings so many emoations to the surface. You can, no matter who you are relate to Ender. Card really knows how to do that. All his books are that way. I really felt like I was there in the story. I don't think there are word to describe how this book touches you heart, when and if it does. It is one of the greats work of Sci-fi you will ever read. Because it adds real life into it, and not a bla never really care about the people in the book feeling.

Summary: Ender's Game
Review: I am not an avid reader. So when I received Ender's Game, it was quickly plopped onto a shelf to wait for a rainy day. Well the rain came. And the rain left, yet I still could not put down the book. Within only a few days (a speedy rate for me), the book was read. The character's lack of emotions, and what few he has left being so strong shows how writing really is as artistic as painting and composing. A fantastic work by Card.

Ender, at age six, is taken away from family and friends to join the army of the future, to go to a space station where he will train for years before he is sent off to defend his world. He arrives a shy and lonely boy, with suspicions that nothing is like it should be. Training (disguised as games) is difficult, and he is disliked by too many. Ender advances ranks years before he is due. Which encourages the other soldiers to hate him more. Back at home, the population (including Ender's family) create their own ideas of the truth to the battle. It is predicted that as soon as the inter-galactic war ends, the "old-fashioned" land wars between countries will take place again.

However, Earth takes a back-seat in the story of Ender. The book focuses on the feelings within Ender as he advances to the next rank, and the practices within the games (of which Ender participates in every day). The book is as emotional as they come but still keeps its action-oriented plot. There is not a single page of dull. The age of characters can sometimes be misleading and confusing, but it is mentioned little and is easily ignored.

Ender's Game is a masterpiece, a guarenteed favorite to all who read it. My recommendation can be no higher.

Summary: I recommend this book to EVERYONE.
Review: This book is _incredible_. I recommend it to everyone, whether or not they are fans of scifi. It is a very easy read, and very compelling. It took me 2 days to read it because I couldn't put it down. The most recent comment I've received from someone I recommended it to is: "I started Ender's Game last night... I got to page 170. I decided at 4am that I should probably get some sleep!"

Summary: I loved this book.
Review: I had to read this book for a science fiction course at my college and I thought, being a reluctant reader, that I would have to read a torturous 300 page book. Was I ever off the mark!

This book was amazing. I was hooked. If I had to go to work or go to class, I was angry that I had to put this book down. Never have I been so engulfed in a book as I have been in this one.

As soon as I finished reading it, I only wished that there was more. Well, there is more: "Speaker for the Dead", "Xenocide", and "Children of the Mind", which I do intend on reading as soon as all my exams are over.

I would recommend this book to anyone, even those reluctant readers, like myself.

Summary: Perfect! What else can you expect?
Review: I love this book. I've read it so many times, my copy is falling apart. If you don't own this book, ! BUY IT! If you do own this book, buy another copy anyway.

Summary: Read it even if you don't think you like Sci-Fi
Review: I'll make this short because I suspect everyone else who has reviewed Ender's Game has already said it all. But, there are a few things I'd like to mention.

1. I have never recommended this book to someone who didn't like it. Even people who don't like Sci-Fi. And I've recommended it to a LOT of people.

2. For everyone who reads it, there is another favorite theme. For me, it is about manipulation and what must be done to a child to make him what you want.

3. The writing style is simple and precise, easy to read but still with a lot of depth. And content wise, I would say it is suitable for ages 10 and up (but of course, that always depends on the maturity level of the child).

4. The book will shortly (with all fingers crossed) be made into a movie. The rights have been sold, and there is a great web site out there that can tell you all about it (but I'm going to make you search for it). Beat the craze and read the book now!

Summary: GREAT BOOK
Review: I have analyzed the public reviews of the 1st 32 books onAmazon's Millenium Book List, and am interested to find that for mostof the 1st 31 there were substantial numbers of 1-star ratings. In other words people either loved or hated many of these books. Ender's Game, #32 on the list, however, is overwhelmingly 5-star rated, with only one or two 1-star ratings. This tells me that the only reason that Ender's Game is not ranked higher on the list is that not enough people have read it. Most likely it suffers lack of readership simply by being a member of the Sci-fi genre. Those who turn up their noses at the idea of sci-fi should read Ender's Game. People, I have read 16 out of the top 31 on that list and enjoyed them all, barring one. However, #32 on the list, Ender's Game is as great or greater than any of them. Yes, the setting is sci-fi, but this book is far more than that. This book has intense emotional and psychological impact. It is gripping from beginning to end, far more so than any other book I have ever read. Orson Card's development of the characters of Ender, and others in the book is masterful. The twist at the end is perfect. If more English teachers would assign this book, more children who think they don't like to read, would decide that they do. However, I read this novel as an adult, as did all of my friends. We all loved it, unanimously. READ IT!
