Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An in-depth powerful story of a boy named Ender.
Review: I have read this books three times and it is the BEST story I have EVER read. I highly recommend buying this book, as it will pull you into the character himself. The ending is un-predictable and the life of the child in space is unimaginable. A PERFECT 10!

Summary: Not just a great book, also a start of an impressive series.
Review: This one's about a third child (Ender) in times when only 2 are allowed per family, exceptions being made only in hopes of producing exceptional children. The goal this time is to produce a war genius capable of defeating a frightening alien invasion threat. Card's talent really shines as he writes a deeply psychological drama where he masterfully depicts the little boy's struggle in a society that's ostracizing him at the same time it places its greatest hopes in him. So far so good, but the master's touch is in that Card never loses sight of Ender's elder siblings, each of which has a story line of his/her own. And the sequels develop in entirely unexpected ways. A winner! (Card is also one of the few sci-fi writers who can write convincingly about computers :)

Summary: The greatest book I have ever read...period.
Review: Good Gravy!!! I read this book just after I had turned 17, and was blown away by the outstanding skill Card uses to convey his characters' humanness - their trials, tribulations, victories and defeats. The book touched me, moved me in a way books don't normally do - I read it in one sitting, from 2 til 5:30 in the morning - I just could NOT PUT IT DOWN!!! Read this book, you will _not_ regret it. Summary: This book is a 'must read' for everyone who's into SF.
Review: The only reason I did not give it 10/10 is that secretly I hope there exists a 'better' SF book out there somewhere (I sincerely doubt it -- but one can always hope). If you haven't read it and are looking for a good book to read (which is very likely since you are reading this review :) my oppinion is: "Buy the book and read it. You won't be sorry."

This book obviously springs from a wealth of good ideas, but the element that truly makes this book great is Card's excellent storytelling. The book simply flows on, without a single hitch. It's one of those books where you feel sad when finished reading it, the reason simply being that you're finished.

Summary: Really good
Review: There's no way someone would not be atracted by this book. I had never read anything by Orson Scott Card and now I'm looking for almost everything he's written.

"Ender's game" is the story of a boy, who is possibly Man's last hope. In a long war against a not well known adversary, the insect-like "buggers", Ender Wiggin, a six year old child, is taken to the Battle School to learn the tricks that maybe will lead humanity to its survival. He can have no friends, no grown-up will be there to help him in his personal struggles against older boys filled with envy, he's taken from his family and his beloved sister... This could be a terrible life, but Ender's sense of responsibility always drags him back to his supposed duty.

Orson Scott Card was able to create a sci-fi story in the middle of a, let's say, story of a life. The reader will always stay with Ender (except in the chapters when we are told Ender's brothers lives, but that helps to understand his relations to his family and some of what happens to him when he's away in Battle School, and some of what happens near the end of the book); we will see him become a master of military strategy, and we will see him abandon everything he holds dear in order to achieve a greater feat.

There were parts of "Ender's game" that reminded me of other books, such as "Lord of the flies", "Starship troopers", and some others, and I think that's a high compliment.

This is not your common sci-fi book, it is something much more subtle and has many levels of meanings, but can be read just as a good entertainment, so enjoy.

Grade 9.5/10

Summary: Magnificent---I don't know who would be dumb enough to argue
Review: Orson Scott Card's ENDER'S GAME is the best book in the WORLD! I read a lot of reviews saying otherwise, so I say this: read how many good reviews there are compared to bad ones. Believe me, ENDER'S GAME is a must-read!The plot sounds dull but OSC's terrific skills in writing takes that over.

Who can say that a book about a genius boy among geniuses in a genius school who hates himself because he is too much like his evil brother and misses his affectionate sister is not interesting? What about when there is a little boy in the genius boy's army who is only about six years old? What about if these kids act and talk, not like children, but adults? What about when the teachers ruin the kid's life so much that he has horrid dreams and bites himself in his sleep? Sounds gruesome now? Wait 'till you read the book, becase if you don't you are really being mean to yourself.

Summary: This is the best sci-fi book I've ever read.
Review: This book is one of my all-time favorites. I first read it in eighth grade on a recommendation by my english teacher. I figured, "Oh yeah, this will be good." I was wrong. "Ender's Game" grabbed my attention from the beginning and hurdled me through to the very end. I loved it. Orson Scott Card's description and detail of his world of the future was always riveting and left me spellbound when I finally finished the book. Andrew "Ender" Wiggin is a very likable character that keeps the story flowing. And he is one tough kid. This book has a great fight sequence that puts Alfred Hitchcock's shower scene to shame. Zero gravity battles in an enclosed dome, space rides at close to light speed, and instant message transmission across the galaxy are just some of the things we experience while we're reading this masterpiece of science fiction literature. The screenplay and film are under negotiation to be made now. I, for one, can't wait.

Summary: Ender's Game
Review: I have just a read Ender's Game. I'm reading it in a summer school class and we are dicussing many ideas and we came up with the conclusion this book is AWESOME. I also am half way through Ender's Shadow and that one is great so far. Honestly i think I like Ender's Shadow a bit more then Ender's Game, but only slightly. Orson Scott Card is an excellent author. Ender's Game makes you feel like you're up in battle school with them. If you like Ender's Game I defiantly recommend Ender's Shadow. I think it's a good idea to pick which one you like better and go along with that series and then finish the other one. Hope you enjoy this wonderful series.
