Rating: Summary: ANOTHER CORNFLAKE REVIEW Review: this book rocks i read it so many times i wore the cover out its is so cool
Rating: Summary: Great story! Review: I was recomended this book by a friend and i do not usally read sci-fi, but this book will hook you from the first chapter. Great story telling, do yourself a favor and read it.
Rating: Summary: absolutely incredible Review: unbelievable is the word for ender's game. it's impossible to not get involved in ender's triumphs and pitfalls...definately one to share with your friends!
Rating: Summary: Comparable to Knowles and Cormier. Review: I read this book for my English class, expecting it to be as many other mundane sci-fi books I had read. It is a book about a young boy who is the third in a family of genius children. His older brother Peter, who is 10, is extremely violent and abusive. He adores his sister Valentine, who is 8. He himself is 6 when he is shipped off to Battle School. There he learns to become the most brilliant game player. Instead of finding the boring monotonous dialogue, I found a tantalizing web of intrigue. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Cormier and Knowles' works. In the future, I will be looking out for the sequels to this book.
Rating: Summary: The Second Best Sci-fi novel I have ever read!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Ender's Game is a startling tour de force of intense emotion. Card has written the best military novel, sci-fi or otherwise, of all time. And Ender Wiggin is my favorite literary character. A brilliantly put together, marvelously exciting and intense novel. Of course, nothing can beat Frank Herbert's incomparable novel Dune, but Ender's Game comes darned close. The sequels are also good, especially Speaker for the Dead.
Rating: Summary: Have you ever known the ending half way through the book? Review: Well not here...Orson Scott Card weaves a science fiction coming of age story full of suspense and surprise...Ender is as believable a character as any friend you talk to daily and yet much more confused and disturbed than any six, seven, or eight year old should ever have to be...Read it...you will be amazed at Card's forsight and intrigued by the "game"...
Rating: Summary: An Amazing and Truely Thrilling Novel Review: This book takes place in the future, when the human race is in danger of annihilation by aliens. We are reduced to breeding military geniuses. Ender is a young boy acreated with the only purpose of fighting aliens. At the early age of five, he is sent to a military school in space. Using his amazing brains, he excells and begins to learn more about the aliens who he and his comrades are fighting. He advances quickly and is soon world's only hope. But now he has lost interest in learning, and his teachers suspect he is going slightly insane. Time is running out! Will Ender save the world? Or will the human race dissapear into thin air?
Rating: Summary: Awesome...thats it, just plain awesome! Review: I have never been a someone who could just sit down and read a book. My friend suggested reading Enders Game so I decided to give it a chance. The only book that has grabbed my attention in the first 20 pages! I just love the stilson scene where Ender was remembering the rules of manly warfare. Definitely a re-read!!
Rating: Summary: I don't usualy read, but I was hooked after chapter one!!! Review: I am a kid who doesn't like to read, however, after the first chapter I loved this book. I am in about half way through, on my second time, and read for about two hours a night. I definately give this book a 5 star. One thing I like is the detail that Orson Scott Card puts into the factors of the way charactors react to actions from other charactors. Also, it is neat how Ender is smart enough to creat ways of countering any thing thrown at him in the game.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME Review: This book may truly be the greatest story of all time. It's a compelling novel that everyone, child to adult, should read.
