Summary: Worth every penny, and much more.
Review: I am 13 years old, and have read many very good books over sevral years , and Enders Game far surpasses the best of them. It is touching, and the best book in the world. After I read it my grandma read it, and then my uncle, and soon most everyone in the family had. They all loved it, and would give it 5 stars. Card is the best writer in the field. His books are as good as Shakespear, Taleswapper (William Blake), Hammlet and many other notable poets were at poetry.

Summary: Very good
Review: I'm not much of a sci-fi fan, but I trusted the reviews here and decided to read it. It was a very pleasant surprise. Rather than the alien-shoot-'em-up I expected, Ender's Game was more about the internal conflict of a child who faces many monsters, from an alien race to jealous rivals to manipulative adults, and even some he finds within himself. And the ending is so beautiful, so poetic that I can't stop thinking about it. I'll definitely be reading the other books in the series.

Summary: TO PUT IT BLUNTLY : IT WAS AMAZING!
Review: This book blew me away. I am a very skeptical Sci-Fi reader and if you're skeptical like me this book will AMAZE you. I'm not very into all that high-tech stuff BUT THIS BOOK, is beyond the ordinary Sci-Fi genre. There should be a whole different category in the book store for this book. It's fantastic. Reading a story that is so emotionally gripping that you're pratically falling and rising as Ender goes through his emotional rollar coaster. It teaches life lessons and events in the book are so relatable for so many people. Ender is a 5, 6 year old, mature BEYOND years and you sometimes forget that. You're only reminded of his innocence when he's crying himself to sleep at night because of the emotional and physical torture he's put through for training. The story is so well thought out, that your on your toes until the last word of the book. I'm a 16 year old, Junior is HS. I was forced to read this book for my Sophmore English class during the summer. I could not put it down, the end of each chapter leaves you begging for more. I have to say this is one of the most interesting books I've ever throughly enjoyed. If your debating on whether this book is for you, GET IT!! Trust me you won't be dissappointed! There's a truth to the old saying "Don't judge a Book by it's cover..." It's not what it looks like!! Give it a TRY!

Summary: Phenomenal
Review: Orson Scott Card is at his best in this book. The characters are deep, well explored and tragic. The humanity exhibited is, at times, almost too much to bear.

Ender's story is the story of humanity: isolated, stressed and hyperactive. And his story is the one I turn to, and have turned to over the years, when I search for scraps of what makes us real. I would recommend Ender's Game to anyone in search of an answer, and for anyone in search of a great read.

Summary: EXCELLENT
Review: I highly recommend this book to readers - it is an engaging and gripping journey from start to finish. This is one of those rare books that can be read over and over, each time with new insights, understanding and feeling.

((If you are jaded or unimaginative - don't bother reading this book as you will join the minority of unfortunate people who could not connect with Ender or this story.))

Summary: MAYBE NOT "HARD-CORE SCI-FI" BUT AN EXQUISITE HUMAN TALE
Review: The important thing to remember is that when you were a child you did not think of yourself as a lesser person than any adult, as many adults now think of children. You had goals and friends and were sad when you didn't fit in with your fellow classmates and were happy for your friends when they won something and talked to your peers more or less in the same way you do now. Think back to the people you invited to your 6th birthday party. They were your friends. You introduced them to your mom and offered them cake and had fun.

Card presents Ender as a real person because that is what he is. Yes, Ender is a young boy, but children truly do think and act as Card perceives them in his book "Ender's Game." I called Card's book an exquisite human tale because the amazing thing about it is the mind of Ender. Ender thinks through processes very logically and intelligently, and is always trying to figure out how to change his life and become better at what he does. I feel sorry for him when things are tough and am scared of him when he is tough on other people.

Card's gift to the reader is wonderful: the ability to imagine the life of Ender, a human being with special talents and opportunities. However, I myself do not identify with Ender at all. I feel like I am fairly intelligent, but I have never felt like a leader of people, able to manipulate them in the way Ender does. Every time I read this book I know that if I met Ender in my life I would hate him. I would hate him because I would have to acknowledge his superiority. Most of all I would hate him because my feelings would be a strong combination of jealousy and a desire to know him well so that I, as a friend, could reap the benefit of knowing this extraordinary human being. Yes, Ender would be a difficult person to know in real life, but his story still captures my attention and awakens my mind each time I read it. To date I have given copies as presents to 3 friends and have lent it to 2 more to read.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY MIGHT ENJOY THIS FAST-READER ABOUT LIFE IN THE FUTURE AND THE CHANGE THAT CAN BE BROUGHT ABOUT BY ONE "CHILD".

Summary: A very enjoyable read
Review: After reading Ender's Game my initial reaction was: a great book but way too short. The story was tremendous, well written and intriguing but the pacing was a bit too blinding. For those who haven't read it, especially fans of science fiction, this is definitely a must read. That being said, the book travels at light speed through major, indeed world shaping, events. Too much happens too fast. And, although Card defends his scant descriptive prose as "American Plain Style" it pretty much boils down to bland writing. By no means "bad" writing - Card is considered one of the best in his trade for good reason - but the book is lacking in that regard.
