Review: Ender's trilogy is got to be one of the finest series of books in any genre. I am extremely pleased with this as with the others. With it wisedom imparting philosophical dialog to its hints of suspense and action, it is truely the best of the best.

Summary: An almost perfect novel
Review: I am not the greatest reader in the world, and am not one for experimenting with authors I am unfamiliar with as I am afraid of wasting time reading a novel that leaves me cold and unmoved. I read about Orson Scott Card's "Ender" saga on Amazon.com and in Sci-Fi magazines, and because the book wasn't an oversized tome I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did because it had me gripped from the first chapter, and the memory of Ender's story stayed with me for days after I'd finished reading it.With the exception of The Lord of the Rings, no other book has left such a lasting impression on me. Also, like the aforementioned book, it is a novel that can be appreciated by almost any age group. The story is fast paced and action packed for the younger readers, but covers profound topics for the older reader. Ender experiences friendship and love, ostracism and loneliness, guilt and forgiveness. The final chapter is tragic but ultimately uplifting, and as with any great sci fi book will leave you contemplating for many days and drawing parallels with the present world. This would be a great book to study at school and discuss. If you are like me and only read a handful of books per year, this book will remind you of how rewarding a good read can be. I will definitely read the other books in the series.

Summary: Terrific doesn't do justice
Review: I first read this book in 8th grade and immediately fell in love with it. Although I own all the books in the series, Ender's Game is by far my favorite. The beauty of the book is that it is not depended upon the sci-fi aspect. While the futuristic setting does make things interesting, it's only dressing for the real story: that of a boy growing up in a demanding environment. Card does an excellent job of portraying Ender's development as the story progresses. It is nearly impossible *not* to identify with Ender. Even if you aren't a sci-fi fan, you should definitely read this book. There cannot be enough said in favor of this book.

Summary: Good, Better, BEST
Review: This is an amazing story that touches one's soul. It CENTERS around Ender Wiggins, a child genuis. The main characterization is of Ender and others are described only in context of how their relationsip affects Ender. Card is not trying for deep characterization of EVERY character mentioned. Instead he fully develops his main character to the point that you have an emotional response to the conflicts he encounters. I don't think that the techies (those who read science fiction primarily for the "science") can fully appreciate this book as they no doubt will be looking for pages and pages describing starship drives, weapons, etc. What this book does have is wonderful character development along with a very well developed plot. Card explores the duality of a child genuis. This book melds the brilliance of a genuis with the innocence and turmoil of a growing child. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys well developed characters and plots, but who isn't necessarily too concerned with all the high tech mumbo jumbo. I've read this book many times; as a teenager and as an adult. This book affected me greatly and really made me stop and THINK. I have read thousands of books throughout my lifetime and am no newbie to the science fiction genre. Without great characterization and plot, a science fiction novel reads like a travel brochure -- pretty pictures of places without any STORY. Thank goodness Card delivers in plenty with this book. Definitely worth five stars and it's own place on the bookshelf.

Summary: Definitely Read It!
Review: Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, is about a young boy in the future who is going to be trained for battle. The action of the book are his adventures at battle school. I loved the book. It was very suspenseful, and it made you feel that you were there. I would suggest this book for ages 8 and up. When I was finished, I liked it so much that I went up to my sister and told her to read it. It is a wonderful science fiction.

Summary: One of my all-time favorites...
Review: As a general rule, I am not a consumer of SF books. I came across this book and decided to "expand my reading" from the typical mystery/thriller category. Boy, was I NOT disappointed! The beauty of this book, for me, was in the simplicity of the storyline: A young boy taken from his family to develop military leadership skills via war simulators. Card fully develops the character, Ender Wiggins, so you can relate to and care about him. But boy does he throw a monkey wrench into the story for an ending. The remaining books in the original trilogy, Speaker for the Dead and Xenocide, were good reads. But to me they pale in comparison to this book. I have purchase but not read Children of the Mind. Ender will forever be one of my all-time favorites. If you liked this book, try Armor by John Steakley.

Review: This book is the best book I have ever read! I am only 14 years old and I loved it. My whole family thought that this book was terrific! I have read it twice. Normally I am not a science fiction fan but I loved this book! Buy a copy!

Review: WOW! , This is a real trip to another place .If you read to "get away" this is the book for you. I found it very hard to stop reading it, and even harder to pass it sitting on the bookcase. It is scifi at it's very best..
