Review: This book is one of the worst I have read!! Classic or not it still was bad!!! I had to read this for school and I hated it! It was soo simple. Only one thing happens in the entire book and that one thing isn't even exciting!

Review: If you want a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat with action and plot twists, then read a comic book. This is one of the slowest books I have ever read. It is one of the best books I have ever read. It is truely chilling, how close this book mimics reality. Free speach may not be outlawed here, but when the news media is outraged at someone who is prolife.. or when a TV show has to have either sex, violence, or very rude humor to get good ratings.. or when the most improtant thing on the new is the presidents love life.. it really makes you think about just how close we are to the world F451. Many people hate this book because it is so boring, but i think it is good because it doesnt rely on speedy action or witty catch phrases.

Summary: This book was all over the place
Review: This book was created in the hopes of a best seller, and the only reason it reached this was because of all the school children that have be required to read this book. Bradbury had a good idea but fell short of a good book. He used too many describing words and wasted them on things, instead of the characters which needed some explaination. This book was written with the hopes of leaving you thinking, but the only thing it left me thinking was " What kind of ending was that"

Summary: A terrible look into the future...or is it the present?....
Review: I am impressed, stunned, and fearful. The implications of this book are staggering. A society where pleasure and mindless entertainment are preferable to thinking and knowledge.... a country where the government entertains itself with wars... a world in which the children kill each other every day and take pleasure in destruction... does this sound familiar? This book is a shocking reminder of the road our civilization is currently going down. Will the next generation go to school to learn more about sports and television? Will all books ever be outlawed because ideas frighten people? This book makes you wake up and take a look around... I personally don't like what I see.

Review: this book was really boring and i had to read it for a book report so instead of me reading the whole book i just rented the movie from blockbuster and watched the movie it was much easier

Summary: Floridly and lovingly expressed
Review: I was amazed at the incredible imagery and poetic use of extremely choice adjectives and adverbs. The main impression I have is how immediate every single sentence felt; each felt totally alive and pulsating with life. To some, this style may seem to err on the side of melodrama, but he can easily be forgiven. I tend to forgive a bit of self-indulgence when dealing with such a fine writer. Those who call it boring and predictable, without knowing how to savor imagery and elaboration, are contributing to the very cause Bradbury is pointing at - a society craving instant gratification and lacking the capacity for self-reflection. It's a fantastic read.

Review: This book I read in high school it is my favorite, religious symbolism is powerful (even though organized religion is silly) and the imagery is great.

Review: This book sucked. I am forced to read this for my 9th grade accelerated english class and it is boring. You can guess what's gonna happen next throughout the whole book. It makes no real attempt to make a statment on book burnings.

Review: I really don't think I've come across a book as good as this one in all of my 13 years of life. (This might not sound like much, but you would be astounded at how many books I've read) I truly believe that anyone who didn't enjoy it needs to read it again, you had to have missed something. This book blends poetry and intricate writing to create a graceful page-turner. I had to read it for my 8th grade English class, and read 90 pages over! I didn't fall asleep until 11:30! I'd recommend this book to anyone! It really makes you think, and question your reality.

Summary: A good idea gone horribly wrong!
Review: At first I thought that Fahrenheit 451 sounded very interesting, and I was glad to see that my 10th grade teachers had assigned the reading of it. By page 3 of the novel, however, I knew this was not a book I would enjoy. While it's a frightening, though thought-provoking look at the way society could become, it was extremely badly written. Bradbury goes on and on for pages of nonsense, and his words leave you with no more enlightenment than you had 50 pages ago. He uses redundant adjectives, and pointless sentences. I was especially annoyed when he would go "inside" Mr. Montag's thoughts and repeat the same meaningless phrases over and over again. I wouldn't recommend this book to a single person, and my condolances to any other student forced to waste their time on this. Fahrenheit 451 is one of the few books I would gladly toss in the fire.
