Rating: Summary: Funny, fast-paced read Review: Liz Higgs's blend of humor and romance was just the pick-me-up I needed after several busy days! Finding Mixed Signals my bedside each night was a delight. Liz's characters and setting won't disappoint readers who want a bit of escape, some sweet old-fashioned romance and a whole lot of laughter. I found myself laughing out loud and wishing I could pack my bags and move back to Virginia! Great job.
Rating: Summary: Favorite new author! Review: MIXED SIGNALS is a treasured find. Once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down. The book is filled with delightful characters every bit as lively and lovely as Jan Karen's Mitford's. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Thoroughly enjoyable! Review: Mixed Signals is thoroughly enjoyable -- a page-turner right up until the end. It's refreshingly original and filled with irresistible characters. Keep it up, Ms. Higgs!
Rating: Summary: It's Delicious, It's Delightful, It's De-Lovely! Review: Mixed Signals not only provides a warm and wonderful diversion on a chilly fall day, but I learned so much about radio, about life, and about love! This is a story about charming people leading not-so-charmed lives, but everything works out in the end. I wanted to curl up in Nora's house and never leave! I highly recommend this book--you won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: GREAT TITLE! Review: The author has found her fiction voice--snappy, breezy at times, yet sure and steady. A good story in the fascinating world of new-fashioned radio. The title works at many levels making interesting layers for the main character, Belle O'Brien, and the plotting. Looking forward to more fiction by this author!

Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY AWSOME! Review: The book was fantastic, very up-to-date in coverage of topics and temptation. Carried a very good lesson - Hold onto the Lord! Awesome! When can I look forward to your next one. I read this one three times!
Rating: Summary: Read it, Loved it, Reading it, Loving it!!!! Review: This book is an exciting experiance travling in and out of peoples minds. It has good christian values and is filled with delicious humour. As a kid I got alot out of this book (though my reading level is hardly at 'KID' anymore). Even if you don't know anything about radio, it hardly matters! I recommend this book highly. If your thinking about buying it, do it!!
Rating: Summary: Heartfelt, funny, warm and memorable Review: This is one of the most delightful surprises I've had all year--a first novel that moved me to both laughter and tears. The author has a real knack for creating realistic dialogue and making a character's problems seem as immediate as a phone call from your best friend. I loved this book. The message is subtle and powerful, and will stay with you long after the book is closed.
Rating: Summary: value-laden, but where's the fun? Review: This is the first fiction book by Liz Higgs that I have read and the first of the Christian-genre books (also the last). While the writing style is engaging and the characters are sweet for the first twenty pages, the plot and character development parts are excrutiating. There are so many coincidences and (un)surprising revelations that they become bothersome. The characters interact with one another, but are not affected on a deeper level (let's NOT go into one person's religious conversion here, it was too predictable to narrate upon). Being Christian myself, I had hoped to find some reassuring spirituality in this novel, but was disappointed. The religiosity of the characters is thrust upon the reader, but is mostly demonstrated by frequent verbal references to God and portraying religion as an obstacle (!).
