Rating: Summary: Did not want it to end Review: The only problem with this book was that it ended too soon for me. I read it in two sittings. Groooaaannnn, too short!! I really enjoyed all of Moning's series of the Highlanders, she has surpassed excellence with the Dark Highlander. Beautifully written and an excellent read. More, more, more!

Rating: Summary: Oh My! Karen Has done it again! Review: I discovered Karen's books about a year ago and I've never been so thankful that I did. I have loved everyone of her books. The characters are larger than life and yet normal too. They have their wants, needs and desires just like everyone else. They can be strong and willful and vulnerable and giving. Karen's books make you believe that true love does exist and that it can conquer all. I have laughed and cried over her books and read and reread them again and again. Dageus is the hero of this tale. He is brother to Drustan, from KISS OF THE HIGHLANDER. Dageus has commited a crime. He used a sacred circle of the druids for his own personal use. Now that use was to save Drustan's life so that he could go to his love but rules are rules. Now he must pay for his crime with his vey soul. He has travelled to modern times to try and find a cure for the curse. He is slowly being taken over by evil and his only was to slow the evil down is with sex. He has become a expert lover who women flock to. All except Chloe. Chloe is a sweet young student of antiquities who stumbles upon his secret and before she knows it is swept back in time with Dageus in search of the cure. She resists the temptation of Dageus until she finds that along the way she has fallen in love with him and he with her. When they do make love its explosive. I enjoyed this story so much that I read it all in one setting. I was thrilled when we got to see characters from the previous story and a few tie ins with other stories. If you haven't read this story get it quickly. Its a must for any historial romance readers library.
Rating: Summary: Her best book yet! Review: This is her best book yet and I didn't want it to end. The characters were interesting and intelligent. I can't wait for her next book. This book is definitely a keeper.
Rating: Summary: LOVED IT!! Review: I have been so excited about Daegus' story, and this did not disapoint. I fell in love w/ him in the previous book. He is so wonderful, while fighting for his humanity he still has honor, and Chloe is perfect for him. I loved how curious she was about everything, and how she took things in stride. I am not usually crazy about virgin stories, but KMM makes the beleivable and enjoyable. If you like this story check out Sherilyn Kenyons Dark Hunter series. I was very supprised @ some of the parallels the two had. Both stories mentioned Buffy series, and had similar ways of explaining darkness, and both women liked to read the same romance novels. Enjoy it, it is a keeper!
Rating: Summary: Another Brilliant Moning Tale Review: While looking for great historical romance novels centered around the Irish and Scottish histories, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Karen's first book "Beyond the Highland Mist". That may have been one of the luckiest days of my life. I have been addicted to her books since the day I read the first and have awaited each new one that she writes. Every book that she writes is better than the one before and "The Dark Highlander" is absolutely no acception. As always Karen uses a great mix of reality and mythology. Her books are steamy and breathtakingly fabulous. Any book Karen writes is worth the money. Pick it up, and I promise you won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Time-Travel Romance Review: Quickly becoming the master of time travel romance, Ms. Moning follows KISS OF THE HIGHLANDER, Drustan's tale, with her latest work, the story of his twin brother Dageus MacKeltar. Though Dageus traveled through time to save his brother, doing so for personal reasons was in violation of an ancient pact. As punishment, Dageus is consumed with thirteen evil ancient beings that threaten to take over his soul. Ironically, his only relief from the dark spirits occurs when he is engaged in sexual activity. When Chloe Zanders' employer asks her to take an ancient book over to a client's New York apartment, she reluctantly agrees. Dageus, the client, is absent when she first enters his penthouse and discovers among recently stolen museum artifacts, other objects attesting to his sexual proclivity. Caught snooping under his bed, Chloe is mortified with the appearance of Dageus, the most handsome virile man she has ever met. His refusal to let her leave renders Chloe with unwitting feelings of attraction and bewilderment from this utterly fascinating man. Helplessly falling under his spell, Chloe journeys with Dageus to visit his identical twin brother in Scotland. As Chloe and Dageus journey back to his sixteenth century world, she learns of the dark force that threatens to claim him and desperately hopes that with her love and help, they can defeat the evil that wants to consume his soul. Ms. Moning writes some of the most sensual love scenes in historical romance, and this latest read is proof positive of that fact. Much to her credit, the sexual encounters are well integrated into the plot line and exude feeling, eschewing the gratuitous sex often found in romance novels. This is quite possibly her best work to date, chock full of romance, time traveling suspense, and eerie mysticism.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: Ok, this is a must read. If you like dangergous, intense, courageous, & SEXY [character] heros - this is definitely your book. If you like bold, cute, intelligent, & fun heroines - this is your book. If you like magical, heart-warming, HOT romance - this is definitely your book. I really enjoyed the story of the Tuatha De Danaan (pronounced "tua day dhanna") & will probably do some research on the internet about it. The plot was quite mysterious & involved; A couple of times I had to go back & re-read a section to make sure I was up on everything. Actually, I also stopped & re-read a few other sections just because they were so blommin' funny! It was really amazing the way KMM was able to tie in such a dark, involved plot with lots of humor & excellent romance & make it all work together. It was definitely a book that I hated to see end. I will not miss her other work. Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: Four AM reading can be exhausting, but well worth it! Review: Once again I couldn't put down one of moning's books until 4 in the morning. The characters were absolutely magic, they danced off the pages and into the apartment complex next door. Moning's story telling is so cinvincing I am almost certain that I can time travel to Scotland if I caould only find that darn portal in Queens, NY! I can't seem to get my hands on the Kiss of the Highlander, which preceeds this book but I was still able to follow the characters and even get pieces from the last story that included Gwen and Drustan. Truly a wonderful novel, I enjoyed it on a friday night after work. I think thanks to Moning I have a new tradition of hitting the romance section of a bookstore after work on a Friday to get myself a treat for the weekend (or in monings case, for the night). I hope you all enjoyed it and if you're not sure what to pick up in the store pick up this one..It will leave you driving to the bookstore for another one of Moning's books!
