Rating: Summary: Oh. My. Goodness. Review: I loved this book! I've read all of KMM's books and this one is hands-down my favorite. The pages will steam your fingertips! I admit a bit of irritation with Chloe, but Dageus was the true star of the book and he made every second worthwhile. A wonderful read. :->
Rating: Summary: Dark and Sexy Review: I stumbled across Ms. Moning's books by accident and boy am I ever glad! FINALLY! Someone who writes the kind of books I've longed to read my entire life! She mixes magic and sexy Highlanders with 21st century women.I read this in about two days. I loved this book. It was a fun, romantic read. If you love to read about Scotland, the Highlands, and oh-so-sexy Scottish lairds, then this is the book for you!
Rating: Summary: Wow Drustan! Review: Read this in one sitting on a plane, and I was sure that my cheeks were flushed the entire flight. Couldn't keep from turning the pages. Read it three times thus far, and won't tire to read it a fourth. LOVED IT!
Rating: Summary: Can't Miss With This One Review: While I admit I'm a sucker for big, sexy, time-traveling highlanders, this book was a great read for other reasons. The lore is as fascinating as the man and the heroine is as nerdy as she is bonny. What really struck me was Monig's humor. The way Chloe thinks about Daegus, the turns of phrase that are all too human... You simply can't miss with lines like..."sighing dismally she acknowledged some things just weren't humanly possible - not even Martha Stewart could fold fitted sheets." Yup, it's a great read.
Rating: Summary: Great Story Review: This is the first of Ms Moning's books that I have read. It came up on my recommend list on amamzon. What can I say about this book that hasn't already been said in previous reviews. This book will make you laugh and cry and cheer for Dagues and Chloe. They were made for each other. Chloe provides the light and the joy of living that Dageus has thought lost to him. She makes him laugh and fills him with hope. Dageus gives Chloe passion and love and history. It is a story of how love and honor can conquer evil. This is one of the best stories that I have read in a long time. I definitely recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Another winner... Review: This book was wondefull. Now, personally, Drustan's book was just a LITTLE bit better. DONT GET ME WRONG DAGEUS IS A HOTTIE TOO! But Im just overly fond of the bathroom scene..LOL!This book was great once the ball started to roll! Keep em coming KMM!!!
Rating: Summary: Almost Too Steamy Review: The first Moning book I read was Touch of the Highlander and I loved it from start to finish. The Dark Highlander however was rushed from the beginning. The entire book was mostly about a woman that the Dark Highlander saw in the street and fell in love with. The characterization was horrible, there was no depth to Degeaus or Chloe. I didn't get into the book until the very middle, and I couldn't figure out why this ... animalistic Highlander was in love with the girl from Kansas (except for her .. and great legs). He couldn't have loved her that soon because the reasons he was in love with her didn't exist until near the end of the book. It was soo steamy that I felt deflated, just way too much build up. I was very disappointed in this book but I finished it and by the end I liked it a little more, so I have given it three stars instead of one. I am planning to read the Kiss of the Highlander next and hope it is as good as the Touch of the Highlander or I won't be reading Moning anymore.
Rating: Summary: the dark highlander Review: Great Story. Couldn't put it down. This goes in my keeper file.
Rating: Summary: another great book by Karen Moning! Review: I found her first book quite by accident, and I was hooked...I started collecting all of her books...including this one.. This one is a keeper, now I am just waiting for her next book...
Rating: Summary: A nice continuation Review: This is a nice continuation of the story with Drustan and Daegus set in both Medieval Scotland and present day. I liked the action and the romance and the characters. The only thing I don't like is how possesive these men are, is this supposed to be a good thing?
