Summary: He's the perfect lover
Review: Julian of Macedon, a man who used to strike fear in his enemies just by the mere mention of his name, a man who was fearless and immortal in battle, a man who fought with conviction was trapped into a scroll and condemned to be a sex slave for any women who conjured him out of the scrolls.
2000 years later Grace Alexander has a boring life, until her best friend Selena (who is as weird as her family and beleives in everything of the occult) gives Grace this particular book with the picture of the perfect man inside. Grace does not beleive for a second that by simply calling him Julian will appear in her home and please her anyway she wants for an entire month. However she does it and voila! Julian is in her living room... very much NAKED!
As the story evolves we learn about Julian's tumultuos past, as well as Grace's. How the get to know each other and how Grace refuses to use Julian as a lover, just like she was used several years ago in a bet. But in an unlikekly event they fall in love with each other and even before that Grace is convinced that she will help Julian break the curse and set him free.
The book is absolutetly wonderful with humor, tenderness, steamy scenes and a painful past so well written I found myself crying for Julian. Ms. Kenyon is a fantastic writter and I will read anything that has her name in it!

Summary: Neat story idea, but...
Review: This is one steamy little book with some real great steam. Oh, it also has a story about some greek guy in a curse. The greek curse story would've been a real cool one to read about, but it was obviously not as high a priority in the plot as the steamy hot love scenes. Too bad.

Summary: An Interesting and Crafty Twist to Romance
Review: This is not your typical romance, which makes it very refreshing to read. I read the book in less than one day because I could not stop "reading just a few more pages to see what happens next." The book is well written and the characters, although some are mythological, are believable. If you are not usually a romance reader and came across this book by accident like I did -- Don't scoff at it! Give it a try and you will be very pleased. I especially enjoyed the sequel, Night Pleasure, and I am looking forward to the next book that is due out soon, Night Embrace.

Summary: The most original plot I've ever read
Review: I won't bother with a synopsis since so many others have, but I will say this. I had almost given up on romance, but this book restored my faith that there really is a writer out there with an imagination. I fell in love with the character development and the hero Julian. Kenyon made my heart break a thousand times over and I loved that Grace was able to help heal him. I can't wait to read more of her books. If you love romance, then don't miss this book.

Summary: Goofy, thinly-disguised porn
Review: but sort of fun if what you want is sex scenes. More "hot" than plot--Just don't buy it for character development.

Summary: Great beggining, but.....
Review: I read the excerpt from Amazon & I couldn't wait to get the book. It started out great, but I couldn't feel much for the characters, & I didn't like Grace much (the heroin) at the beginning, not someone strong enough for the hero. Also I couldn't connect with Julian (the hero).
What I couldn't figure out is that if he couldn't be with her -physically- till the end of the month then why the hell was he jumping in the shower with her at every opportunity???? He must have titanium self-control! Also, for someone who was trapped for god knows how long in darkness, I expected him to feel more interested in seeing the world around him when given the chance. Why not spend the time doing something together that helps them learn more about each other, WITHOUT the temptations of getting naked... ALL the time!
All in all it's a light read, no need to use your brains much, only to remember the names.
If you like time travel & hunks then I would recommend [other books].

Summary: Great Read
Review: I was intrigued by the Greek myth concept behind this book and curious as to how it would read. This is the first book I've read by Sherrilyn Kenyon but will not be the last. The primary characters are wonderfully developed and written, and the book moves at a good pace. A great read by an author who deserves to claim the title national bestselling author.

Summary: Great read.
Review: I found this book to be a little different than most romance novels I read. It is very interesting and very sensual. It is well-written and moves quickly. In short, I liked it as much as my latest favorites-Foster's Too Much Temtation and Cynthia Simmons Anything, My Love. I had trouble putting them all down.

Summary: Enjoyable!
Review: Plot description on this book's Amazon.com page. What a pleasant surprise! I found this book by accident. I was very disappointed in Stephanie Lauren's new book-THE PERFECT LOVER and was searching through the Amazon.com reader's recommended titles. FANTASY LOVER popped up and I hit the link, read the reviews and decided to try it. It is not a historical, but what an enjoyable read--plot and sex-and done well. The two main characters are very good, you care about them; the secondary characters help move the action along and the villains get justice. If you like the unusual, or just want to try something different, or want to read a romance where there is a plot with the sex, try this. I am now hunting down Ms. Kenyon's other titles

Summary: Wow!!!
Review: This is certainly one of the best books I've read in a long time. It sounded kind of corny and like a romance novel from the description, but the reviews were rather convincing. I was surprised when I was really sucked into the book. I've always been a fan of Greek myths and this really was a great twist. I could not put it down and finished the book in record time. Definitely a fun read!
