Summary: No surprises here
Review: They finally reach the final battle. Even the characters in this book admit the battle and the series is just like the Belgarion series. That's pathetic. You should already know who wins and what happens.

They finally get to the Place Which is No More, and in an utterly anti-climactic scene, good defeats evil, and a new God is made.

The ending is boring, surreal, unsatisfying, and actually occurs in the middle of the book. The reader must endure an extra hundred pages of fluff about weddings and ships in order to finish this series.

After reading this whole series, I felt like I wasted a good 40 hours of my life. Like me, you'll probably never touch a David Eddings' book again.

If you are curious, just ask someone about the series. They should be able to explain it all in about two minutes. No joke.

Summary: intelligent ending to a great series!
Review: This book is an intelligent ending to a great series. Instead of the classical uber-triumph of good, David Eddigns has developed a third destiny to replace the opposing forces which has had monopoly on the rest of the two series. It is intersting to note that the fate which befell Zandramas was not at gratifying as one would have hoped it would be. I for one, would have liked to have Polgara and the grolim sorceress to have it out, unleashing devastaing forces and currrents. I suppose I have to satisfy myself with Cyraydis nicely putting Zandramas on his place. The rapid pace of the book is enough to satisfy any hard-core fantasy fan. One only needs to read the book carefully and determine the next event. Eddings fans have to be honest and admit that the have read the book(s) more than once due to an incredible appetite to re-read and explore the plethora of ideas and themes abounding in the series. It is refreshing to note that more dialogue was awaarded to grolims and other miniions, as opposed to the previous series. With this device, Eddings has delivered insightful visions as to how the grolim mind(s) actually operate. It was a brilliant read with Agachak having it out with Zandramas, though I do wish that he had not ended the fight so soo. It is incredibily hard to find good magical battles taking the reader to the scene - and then it ends - rather abruptly might I add. I think Polgara's twins are girls, though I welcome anobody to enter with me in a leisurely discourse on the matter and otehr themes and ideas in DAvid Eddings' books.

Summary: Ha Ha! Suck Silk!
Review: This book is worth reading just so you can snigger to yourself about what happens to Silk! David Eddings is probably my favorite fantasy author, not because of the plot but beacause of the characters and dialouge. I agree with whoever said that we don't read fantasy for the plot. If you dislike David Eddings because the plot is predictable then I'll give you that, but predictability is the core of fantasy writing. To sum up I just want to say that Velvet is my favorite human character she's the smart one and Silk deserved what he got!

Summary: One of the Best Series ever
Review: This book was fantastic, it tied the Belgariad and The Mallorean up in a nice tidy ending, except for one thing, Did Polgara have Twin boys, Twin girls, or one of each. The Book was a great ending to a fantastic series. I loved all the characters and the humor found throughout all ten of the books. I was just reading how Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is the best ever fantasy series. I don't completely agree, I think David Eddings series is as good in it's own way. I have read the Belgariad and the Mallorean more times than I can count and have never been disappointed. Thank you David Eddings for books that can be read over and over without getting bored.

Summary: Great! Glad that Garion and Zakath became friends.
Review: This book was fantastic..typical of Eddings. Was sad to see Beldin leave that way..thought he and Vella should have become the twins guardians..even in winged form I am sure he would have retained his power. Am disappointed that we haven't learnt what the twins are though..again you have left us hanging..typical. The characters are so real..a person almost forgets that they are not real..you should put this into a movie..would be great! What happens to Geran and the other children? Don't they have adventures like their parents? Can't imagine them not following in their parents footsteps. Please write more of this series..it was spellbinding. My whole family collects them..we pass them around and around. It is something that I allow my daughter to read. Thank you Mr. Eddings.

Summary: Excellent Finale
Review: This book was not only exciting, but also witty and addicting. If you have read the predecessors of this book you will undoubtedly get it anyway, no matter what i tell you, so for those of you who haven't read the ones before this I strongly advise you read them first or read this not at all.

This is the book that sums up the Belgariad and the Mallorean, and I believe that David couldn't have done a better job of it. It may not have had as much action as the others but nonetheless was a great read. It has all the elements of the others and the best part is that unlike all the others this is the last, so you aren't left hanging at the end. Don't leave this on the shelf.

Summary: Great Ending
Review: This was to me a great ending to a wonderful series. Although some parts were predictable and others forced, most of it was fantastic. Everything was brought around full circle and the plot was very cohesive. This book kept me smiling for days.
