Review: Yet another exciting tale of Victory Nelson and Henry Fitzroy comes to an end, leaving a bit of mystery open in the future of the charismatic characters. It's a great vampire series in the tradition of Vivian Vande Velde's Companions of the Night and Tanith Lee's short story "Bite-Me-Not"--the same theme of romance and relations between regular folk and supernatural creatures. If you like this series but haven't read much else by the Ms. Huff, I suggest that you do--you'll find the same unusual plotlines and quirky humor in her other books. If you prefer fantasy, try Fifth Quarter and No Quarter--they are both engaging reads.
