Review: These books (this and Volume 2) are an attempt to fill in a tantalising gap in the Star Trek Universe, namely, the Eugenics Wars in the 1990's and the origin and rise of Khan Noonien Singh. You won't find any plot details here - I'd hate to spoil the book for you - but I WILL say that Greg Cox really knows his history AND his subject matter. Both his characterisations and plot twists are crystalline (I can *hear* Ricardo Montalban's voice as I read Khan's lines!). The story flows and is not in the least bogged down by the many details and shifting points of view. I hope you enjoy "Star Trek: The Eugenics Wars, Vol. 1" as much as I did!
