Summary: a few good, but not many
Review: Generally I like all things in the Forgotten Realms series, but this was certainly not an overall good experience. The best stories, in my opinion, were these: Guenhwyvar (R.A. Salvatore), it was the story of the cat's creation, particularly of interest to fans of Drizzt Do'Urden - The Quiet Place (Christie Golden), this was a story of Jander Sunstar, one of my all time favorites (Vampire of the Mists and others) - The Eye of the Dragon (Ed Greenwood), a little bit of Khelben, a little bit of Elminster, but not really about either, good without over doing the popular characters - A Worm too Soft (J. Robert King), this one was different, and I liked that, and well done. The worst ones, again just my opinion: Too Familiar (David Cook), this one just didn't really go anywhere, and I wasn't terribly interested in the characters (they are repeat characters, though I haven't read them in others) - Red Ambition (Jean Rabe), this one just didn't do anything at all, not well written, dull story, I left it wondering why?All the rest were probably 3 of 5, with the better ones earning 4 and the lesser ones earning 2 (and the story surrounding the anthology, prologue and epilogue, was not very good either). Over all, it is probably 3 stars, maybe 3.5. If you just borrow it and read the stories of your favorites, you could come out with a four or five experience.

Summary: A must read for all those intreasted in magic stories
Review: I really liked all the different short stories. Most of them left you with a smile on your face. My personal favorite was the short story about the elf and the panther. Like I said before, If you like good magic stories of the Forgotten Realms, this is your book

Summary: Great Stories
Review: Most all of the stories in this book were great. A few weren't too good but you have to consider this book is from many different authors. Overall an good easy reading book.

Review: There were only two stories that I really thought were funny. Most were pretty good, about 12, but the rest were AWFUL! For collectors, but most might want to borrow it. Especially the story by Jean Rabe. First she mangles Dragonlance, Krynn. Now, she must ruin Faerun.

Review: This is a great anthology, provided that you not only know about the Forgotten Realms but are also a fan. I personally think that the story about the origins of Guenhwyvar (Drizzt Do'Urden's feline companion) make it worth reading, but there are other great stories that involve popular Realmsian characters like the wizards Elminster and Blackstaff. There are also stories about unknown characters that are very entertaining. Again, if you are not a fan of the Forgotten Realms you might not enjoy this much, but if you are a fan, get it, read it, and enjoy it!

Review: Where to start with this? Well, I finished it, so it wasn't horrible, but on the other hand, it wasn't great. The stories in this collection are not thrilling page turners, granted it's hard to have thrilling in a short, but still... you spend your money, you want SOMETHING for it. The story of Guenhwyer was interesting, as was Skullport but if you're looking for Forgotten Realms stuff, leave this one for later, there's better out there.

Summary: Pros and cons of the book
Review: While a interesting, as far as the mages are concerned, and funny, in the case of some stories, the book's main problems is that it is not regular, meaning it has some good and bad stories, and none of them are really important, just interesting... Not really a important book to those who want to know FR's stories, for the collectors, give it a try!
