Summary: One of Peter's best!
Review: Peter David knows the characters of the Star Trek worlds better than anyone! This particular story allows us to see a little more deeply into the character of Sulu; his close friendship with Pavel Chekov, the story behind his relationship with Demora's mother, and the deep-rooted commitment to honor on which he has based his Starfleet career. I could NOT put this book down! A must for Star Trek fans

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Sulu finally gets a life.
Review: Sulu (now Captain Sulu) is one of the least explored characters in the Original Star Trek universe.

This is one of David's most focused storylines. Telling a specific story about a specific character has not been one of David's previous formats for a novel. Suprisingly, David does very well in this new type(for him) of storytelling.

This novel represents a major event in the mythology of Star Trek. Most of the novels will put you right back where you started from, without altering the fabric of the characters. The Captain's Daughter takes an extra step and goes beyond this limitation. That is what takes it up to a level of 8.

Summary: For fans of Captain Sulu...
Review: This book was definitely better than your average Star Trek novel. I'm surprised that it wasn't a hardcover first. If you are the type of Star Trek fan that always wanted more info on Sulu- the Captain, than this is the book for you. Great to read just after seeing the Star Trek Generations movie, and you might want to rescreen the 'Shore Leave' episode for maximum enjoyment. I'll read anything that Peter David writes. I can trust that I'll get a quality story from him. Check it out. (I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if I could)

Summary: Another triumph for Peter David!!!
Review: This book was one of the most emotional I have ever read. I hated the bad guys and and really fell in love with the characters. This is yet another example of Peter David's wonderfil talent.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A blend of humor and sci-fi
Review: This is one of the best Star Trek novel I have ever read. Not only did it center around Sulu, who rarely gets center stage, but it also provided a lot of back story for his daughter Demora [briefly seen in Star Trek: Generations].

A perfect blend of plot and humor.

Summary: Could Not Put This Book Down
Review: This was one of the best Star Trek books I have read yet, if you want to see into the life of one of your favorite characters then buy this book. More than your usual action/adventure beat the bad guys plot, this book brought one of the most loved characters a little closer to real life. We get to see more of what makes Sulu the man he is. Peter is a brilliant writer, you are drawn into the book and Sulu's world and you experience it all with him. Will definately recomend to all Trekkers and read again

Review: When I first saw 'Generations', my thoughts mirrored Kirks. "When did Sulu find time to have a family?" This excellent book answers that question perfectly. This book is a must for Sulu fans. Peter David is easily the best Trek novelist out there.
